Moberly Area Community College
Moberly Area Community College nursing program in Missouri robs students
- - MACC ADN is chaotic and poorly organized.
- - Instructors allegedly use arbitrary grading and intimidation, eliminating 50-60% of first-semester students.
The ADN program at MACC in Moberly, MO is run by a bunch of arrogant *** women (yes that means you, Ruth Jones, Kelli Schnell and Shelli Dougherty) whose heads are so bloated with power that it is pathetic to see.
The program is chaotically organized and incompetently operated--intentionally so. The instructors use this as both an attempt to make the program look "tough" and to *** out students they don't like.
They consistently eliminate 25 to 30 (that's 50-60%) of the students during the first semester through their completely arbitrary and subjective grading system. They threaten and intimidate students--even to the point of sexual harrassment. Before I started, several people warned me about this farce of a nursing program. Unfortunately, I didn't listen and ended up wasting thousands of dollars, a year and a half of my life, and dropping my GPA.
Someday, someone will sue the pants off these teachers and this school and win big. Until then, these low-level, half-wit, arrogant beureaucrats (largely enabled by their emasculated little buddy Dean Mosier) will continue to rob hard working students of a future.
Consider yourself forewarned. BEWARE THE MACC ADN PROGRAM HAGS!!

Is Dean Mosier's son still selling *** to the neighborhood kids?

Currently a nursing student at Columbia College and yes, 4 years from the original post and Kelli Schnell is still the WORST. Sounds like the MACC program is just as ridiculously and unfairly run as the CC one is right now.
It's pretty sad when you can't even recommend your own school to other people going after the same things you are.
One of my classmates that voluntarily dropped out has convinced 11 others not to go to this program. That's just another $286,000+ loss for Columbia College.
Try the program, I dare you. These women have it out for you from day 1! It doesn't matter if you are cut out for the program or not.
Maybe you people are just incompetent and don't realize what it takes to be a nurse and they treated you in the way they did because they could see that?? :eek
This is specifically for Ruth Jones RN: How DARE you be so hateful and ugly in your posting. You are supposed to be a professional person and this was a totally inappropriate and unprofessional post. Calling someone on a public forum like this a "crybaby" is out of line. Also, it's true, there are more nursing instructor than not who are arrogant and believe their jobs is to "***" them out. Also, what right do you
have to call someoe "undesirable"? If MACC cannot responsibly educate and mold 50 nurses a year, then they should not accept 50 students a year. A nurse wears many hats and compassionate teacher is one of them incase you have forgotten. During nursing school, I have to admit that the first semester instructors were hard on us. And yes, they seems to take pleasure in giving those who were not grasping certain things the boot. I wanted to become an instructor
so I could do it differently. Be a mentor, compassionate and passionate about nursing and teaching. You, NURSE Jones, need to get back into the trenchs and remind yourself what nursing is about. You are the perfect example of what a nurse should NOT be. And you are a disgrace to the profession I love.
FOR THE REST OF YOU: Not everyone can cut the mustard. Nursing school gives you the knownledge (or should give you) to pass the boards and to be a safe nurse. You get about 10% of what you need to be a success in the end. The other 90% is what you learn day in and day out while you hone your craft. It is an honor to be one of those that do make it through. If you don't make it through school and pass the boards you can't place all the blame on the school. However, if you weren't "desirable" from the get go, they should never have lead you on. Sometimes you can take pride in making it through the *** the instructors give you. If you made it, be proud and be a positive role model for others. Use this time to present yourself in a professional manner. Nurses have always ben depicted as "eating their young". We do...break the cycle.
Need help this woman Scnell is bad bad bad and will pay pay pay $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :grin
That post was NOT written by Ruth Jones.
Schnell now works at Columbia College. She is a very hateful and takes pleasure in failing students. She has stated several times that she has not read our book and a lot of her lecture material has MACC written on there; I doubt we use the same book.

Schnell is a ***!
Take this school down!
Im pretty sure what they are doing here IS illegal. I think we have a class action lawsuit, at least a half of a class action lawsuit that was lured in to take our money, then dropped.
All those half classes have now come back to *** ya', and you better be ready... You better be very ready, cause no matter how ready u are, you gon' be F'd and possibly a few of you in the state pen!!!
You F over others peoples lives, you'll end up F'ing your own life. Karma's a *** sometimes (;
BTW I found this from some guy who posted it on MACC, Thanks Justin, I was always too chicken to say somethin'
Yes we are calling the attorney on Columbia college ..Kelli Schnell should pay for her acts.. :( :( :(
By the way, here is the name and number of an attorney who might help all of us out. He's in St. Louis, and he's been made aware of some of the complaints against this school.

If you wish, you can google him to read more about him. Let's make this happen people!
If anyone knows about Kelli Scnell and the things shes done please post asap
The program is exactly as stated in the original post. However you forgot to mention the lovely Deb Jerymn (she is no longer there..wonder why?) This lady not only failed me and several others because we were "not ready to be a nurse" she humiliated myself and many others to the point where there was no return.
I however returned to the program (why..i have no idea) and finished with success and have a great career. The program is in definite need of attention by state or national officals, something needs to be done about this failure rate, I thought instructors were supposed to be helpful..this means NOT telling the students that they are failures and trying their hardest to flunk their students. The grading system is accurate with the rest of nursing schools, but....there has to be a reason why MACC only has half of the students graduate. I really hope something is done about this.
Im so happy to hear Deb is gone! Its about *** time!!!!
Thank you everyone for the feedback. The fact that the MACC ADN program has such an abysmal student success rate is, I believe, not an indication of student failure, but an indication of faculty failure.
I strongly encourage everyone who has been cheated by the MACC ADN program to speak to an attorney regarding this matter.
This fraudulent activity needs to be exposed and this abuse put to a stop.
The only way to stop a bully is to stand up to them.
And the best way to stand up to these particular bullies is through the legal system--class action lawsuit comes to mind. Any takers?
This is great. I really hope a difference will be made in the MACC nursing program soon.
It's pathetic that 25 of the 50 students accepted are only used for their money. I like how even Ruth Jones calls them the "undesirable" students. These "undesirable" students shouldn't be accepted into the program and used for their money. Use your degree Ruth Jones and figure out which ones are "desirable" before letting them waiste hard earned money and precious time on this selfish school.
I hope we can reach out to other hard working students and let them know what they are getting into. Columbia College and Lincoln accept about 30 students into their nursing program WITH THE INTENTIONS OF GRADUATING EVERYONE! I will never let this down.
For the rest of my days I will make sure something happens about this because I actually care about others. I know how bad it hurts to be used and humiliated by this school, by these nursing instructors, and the unforgettable and undesirable DIRECTOR.
How can I put this?
"He who laughs lasts, laughs best."
"Don't get mad, get even."
"I'd rather have the last laugh than the last word."
"You shouldn't have done what you did."
"You want a piece of me?"
"Well,Yippee ki-yay, mother*&%$#@!"
