Moberly Area Community College nursing program in Missouri robs students

The ADN program at MACC in Moberly, MO is run by a bunch of arrogant *** women (yes that means you, Ruth Jones, Kelli Schnell and Shelli Dougherty) whose heads are so bloated with power that it is pathetic to see.

The program is chaotically organized and incompetently operated--intentionally so. The instructors use this as both an attempt to make the program look "tough" and to *** out students they don't like.

They consistently eliminate 25 to 30 (that's 50-60%) of the students during the first semester through their completely arbitrary and subjective grading system. They threaten and intimidate students--even to the point of sexual harrassment. Before I started, several people warned me about this farce of a nursing program. Unfortunately, I didn't listen and ended up wasting thousands of dollars, a year and a half of my life, and dropping my GPA.

Someday, someone will sue the pants off these teachers and this school and win big. Until then, these low-level, half-wit, arrogant beureaucrats (largely enabled by their emasculated little buddy Dean Mosier) will continue to rob hard working students of a future.

Consider yourself forewarned. BEWARE THE MACC ADN PROGRAM HAGS!!

Currently a nursing student at Columbia College and yes, 4 years from the original post and Kelli Schnell is still the WORST. Sounds like the MACC program is just as ridiculously and unfairly run as the CC one is right now.

It's pretty sad when you can't even recommend your own school to other people going after the same things you are.

One of my classmates that voluntarily dropped out has convinced 11 others not to go to this program. That's just another $286,000+ loss for Columbia College.

Try the program, I dare you. These women have it out for you from day 1! It doesn't matter if you are cut out for the program or not.

Maybe you people are just incompetent and don't realize what it takes to be a nurse and they treated you in the way they did because they could see that?? :eek

This is specifically for Ruth Jones RN: How DARE you be so hateful and ugly in your posting. You are supposed to be a professional person and this was a totally inappropriate and unprofessional post. Calling someone on a public forum like this a "crybaby" is out of line. Also, it's true, there are more nursing instructor than not who are arrogant and believe their jobs is to "***" them out. Also, what right do you

have to call someoe "undesirable"? If MACC cannot responsibly educate and mold 50 nurses a year, then they should not accept 50 students a year. A nurse wears many hats and compassionate teacher is one of them incase you have forgotten. During nursing school, I have to admit that the first semester instructors were hard on us. And yes, they seems to take pleasure in giving those who were not grasping certain things the boot. I wanted to become an instructor

so I could do it differently. Be a mentor, compassionate and passionate about nursing and teaching. You, NURSE Jones, need to get back into the trenchs and remind yourself what nursing is about. You are the perfect example of what a nurse should NOT be. And you are a disgrace to the profession I love.

FOR THE REST OF YOU: Not everyone can cut the mustard. Nursing school gives you the knownledge (or should give you) to pass the boards and to be a safe nurse. You get about 10% of what you need to be a success in the end. The other 90% is what you learn day in and day out while you hone your craft. It is an honor to be one of those that do make it through. If you don't make it through school and pass the boards you can't place all the blame on the school. However, if you weren't "desirable" from the get go, they should never have lead you on. Sometimes you can take pride in making it through the *** the instructors give you. If you made it, be proud and be a positive role model for others. Use this time to present yourself in a professional manner. Nurses have always ben depicted as "eating their young". We do...break the cycle.

That post was NOT written by Ruth Jones.

Schnell now works at Columbia College. She is a very hateful and takes pleasure in failing students. She has stated several times that she has not read our book and a lot of her lecture material has MACC written on there; I doubt we use the same book.
