Trip of Lies

Travel Agent booked a trip to Mexico for my husband and I. My daughter gave it as a gift. Found out 4 months before the hotel in Riviera Maya was 'overbooked because of a computer glitch', so our trip was supposedly changed to Puarta Villarta. Was told everything was good to go. Went to print our boarding passes the day before we were to leave and Delta said we had no flight. Travel agent called the hotel-we had no reservation. Needless to say, we were devastated. We had never been on a vacation to anywhere and were really looking forward to getting away. HUGE disappointment in MLT Vacations. Now we are stuck trying to find my daughter's money that she spent for our vacation. a travel voucher is totally unacceptable-would never trust them again to handle a trip!! Thank god for the great city of Kansas City. We drove to KC the night we were supposed to leave, stayed at the Ameristar Casino. Told the front desk person of our heartbreak and she gave us the Presidential Suite. Didn't fix the heartbreak, but gave us a great reminder of how awesome the people in the Midwest are and how willing they are to go out of their way to take the sting out of someone else's screw up.

MLT Vacations

President Pomerantz told me expections were too high for a first-class vacation that did not live up.. Accommodations were moldy, food came out of a cooler or a buffet that was open air and pigeons were flying over it. The room had carpet that smelld of mold; there were supposed to be 6 restaurants; they accomplished by changing the name twice a day. The Junior suite was a standard room (I was told after check in they call it a 'suite' because it sounds better). I asked for a refund and was refused. Pomerantz says no property could live up to my expectations. I could not be satisfied with any property.
