After Sales support and warranty
I had an MJX Bugs 20 drone that I purchased from a popular drone retailer called Banggood.com. I had the drone for only 10-months, and the drone was in perfect flying condition.
I was out flying the drone in calm sunny weather, and drone had full battery and completed compass calibration before takeoff. I was flying at a height of about 30m, and the drone was only about 20 m away when it suddenly and unexpectedly came crashing down to the ground, and camera fell off, and the drone is un-flyable.
I contacted MJX using email, and they concluded something was likely wrong with the fight control board. However, they said we are only a factory, and we give all our distributors authority to deal with the after-sales issues.
There advice was since the drone was 10 old, and is probably beyond the warranty period, I should just buy the spare parts to fix it.
The lack of support from MJX is very sad, and I would never buy another MJX drone again. MJX does not stand behind the products they engineer and manufacture.
I have experience dealing with support with both DJI and Holystone, and they (unlike MXJ), are reputable drone companies who offer outstanding customer support, and don't rely on distributors to resolve quality issues.
