Mister Transmission - Manager Review
mr transmission on rexdale should change managers 321 rexdale blvd they are a rip off the manager ame frank violante he fights with everyone and person called the police and charge him . He abuses his ex wife and family he steals from work like money .
Mr Transmission Leaside
I would not go here to get your tranny fixed. The new owner is a weasel and will change the price when you come to pick up your car.
He does not have a builder anymore he let him go because he is too cheap to pay him and another employee so the builder goes.
This is Mr Transmission who specialize in this but apparently the hard earned money I make to keep my car running and the owner just puts used units in and charges you one price and then changes the prices when you get there. I will never go back to a Mr Transmission again!
Transmission service oil overfill
Mister Transmission on Dundas Street East, Mississauga did the auto transmission service on my ford focus 2005. The transmission leaked from the first day.
I gave them the call and the manager Joe Pronesti explain that they are busy and if its not the major leak no harm will be to drive. I insisted to come over and they inspected the car in front of their garage. Their mechanic did a quick check and he conclude it is enough oil and it is safe to drive (???) They asked to come next available time. In a couple of days I arrange the service appointment and they took me and placed my car on the hoist. They confirmed the leak is coming from the top and again, the manager explained that they again have no enough time for the fix. I was really upset. Where is their customer appreciation and honesty for the paid service which ended up with the troubles? On mu closer look I noticed that oil stick checker showing way over max level of oil which they later admitted. I insisted on oil removal which they did unwillingly. They removed with the external pump more than 1 quart of oil. Still there was lots more oil in the transmission, but they couldn’t remove more because they didn't have long enough tubing etc. I went out with unfinished service with they promises to remove the excess oil next time. The leak stopped however. I couldn’t wait any more and I removed another 1.5 quart of oil in my driveway to archive the proper level.
So in conclusion they overfill my transmission with 2.5 quarts of oil and let me drive for two weeks which could lead to seals blow or other damage and I they didn’t fully remove the excess oil even after my second visit. So I had to do it. I sent to manger Joe Pronesti a letter of complain and disappointment. He apologized and offer free oil replacement in 40-5* 000 Km as a compensation which I refused.
I am advising everybody to avoid that place. How one experienced mechanic can overfill transmission with 2.5 quarts of oil? Do they now that is very harmful for the internal parts? Lets say anybody can make mistake, however unprofessionalism and lack of customer time and appreciation was overwhelming.

After taking my truck to them with differential issues they notified my extended warranty company of my oversized tires on my truck. Warranty voided.
2600 cash out of my pocket. Drive 15 min away from shop and check engine light comes on and starts losing power and engine ticking and knocking.
Call the shop and the manager is quick to say he did not sabotage my truck and is also quick to say get it towed back but if its not a issue they fixed and is something else then I will be covering all costs of
Tow and diagnostic. PLACE IS CROOKED STAY AWAY FROM THEM
Surprisingly Honest and Affordable
Went in with major trouble and have to admit I had no idea what was going on. Thought I would have to completely replace but ended up I didn't.
I'm sick of going to dealerships and getting ripped off with high labor rates so I figured this place was worth a try.
Everything I needed to know was explained to me in language I could understand and the price was super fair. There was no push for extra services which made me feel like a person rather than a dollar sign. The problem was fixed and months later still is.
Was offered a free loaner but I didn't need one.
I won't let my friends go anywhere else now. So great to have old school honest service.
Mister Transmission (Consumer Beware)
I took my 2002 Ford F-350 in because I was having problems with it, when i found out what was wrong I told them to drop in a new ford tranny, Wally told me he would rebuild it with heavy duty parts and he would give me a 40km warranty. Within a week the reverse went and they repaired that saying the OD plates were gone and a pressure valve wasn't working right.
At approx 35k the tranny went out.
New owner won't warranty because I put a chip in it "What" the hay the chip was in it when we went there for the first tranny because I re-set it to factory so he could check the electronics, but now he doesn't own it and can't "remember" me having a chip. What a run around I will be putting a consumer beware ad in the news paper, they can't sue you for the truth. CONSUMER BEWARE MISTER TRANSMISSION IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO TAKE YOUR CAR TRUCK SUV OR SCOOTER CAUSE THEY WILL *** AND THE JOB WILL BE SCREWED UP!!!!!!!!!
Mister Transmission North Bay - Unprofessional & Dangerous
I took my vehicle to the local dealership with an intermittent reverse problem. It was tested there for a full day and they ran all the necessary tests, all of which came back with everything working correctly, including oil and fluids being clear, electronics, etc. and that all gears were working including reverse. The next morning however when it was tested again and there was no reverse and they suggested that there could be a glitch in the hydraulic systme and that, in order to locate the problem, the transmission would have to be opened up. They did not have a technician available at that time and my car was driven over to Mister Transmission. After the transmission was opened up, we were shown parts that apparently came out of my and included a totally blown up gear system and an overheated and totally burned out transmission. As the car was needed, the work was authorized (if you had the same experience you know what I mean).
My car was supposedly fixed and within a short period of time, I heard heavy hammering and growling noises and my enginer light came on. Needless to say, this scared me quite and bit and I took the car back to Mister Transmission in North Bay as I believed it to be a transmission problem. The car was taken on a road test and I was told that there was nothing wrong, they didn't hear anything out of the ordinary. A second road test, forced on them by us, resulted with the noises happening immediately. After a cursory look and knocking off the enginer light with a testing device, the manager told me that I had a bad right front wheel bearing. He also told me that his staff were not licensed to work on that part of the vehicle. Being dismissed out of hand, with no no consideration for my safety, I had no choice but to take my car back to the dealership.
The dealership was extremely accomoodating and helpful and agreed to check my car out immediately. As I believed that the right front bearing needed to be replaced the work was authorized. Within half an hour the car was fixed and lo and behold the bearing was fine - the only problem and work that had to be done was to retorque the 2 front wheel bearings to factory specifications. I was told that both of the front wheel bearings were loose and that on the right front I had over 1/2" play. The bill from the dealer was a whopping $50, which Mister Transmission North Bay refuses to compensate me for, after I paid over $3,000 for my "so-called" tranmission overhaul. I'm still not sure what the enginer light - which came back on right after leaving his shop - is going to cost at the dealer.
I contacted Mister Transmission North Bay about thias and was summarily brushed off with the arrangant statement that "my people don't work on that part of the car - we didn't touch it". I talked to a licensed technician about this and was told that it is very difficult to take a transmission out of my car (a front wheel drive) without dismantling the front axle. The owner sent off a communication to the regional customer service department of Mister Transmission in which he spent the entire time saying what a great person he was - how honest and hardworking - and that he "might have helped me out if we hadn't been rude customers". This person has the nerve to use the customer service department to cover his incompetence. Rude?? - this is the individual who had not only released my vehicle twice in a dangerous and unsafe condition. He put my life at risk as well as any unfortunate driver having the bad luck to be near me when my front axles flew off, in a deadly situation as well.
I still don't understand how I ended up with a totally burned out transmission. It seems to me that if that was the case, then the transmission oil should have been burned as well - and it wasn't.
My only comment is - CUSTOMER BEWARE - because it seems to me that at Mister Transmission North Bay - the customer is always wrong (after paying). If you value your life, shop around for a safer repair shop.
Mister Transmission NORTH BAY - Unprofessional & Dangerous (Chapter2) Tranny Blew Up In 14 Days
Driving on a major highway all of a sudden there was a loud bang, my car actually jumped, I lost top gear, the engine light came on and had less and less power. Needless to say this scared the *** out of me again. Finally I lost all power and even lost the readout for the shifter. I called Zoe Kellner, a Customer Relations Specialist at Mister Transmission, Richmond Hill. Zoe was helpful right from the start and made arrangements immediately for my car to be looked at by Mister Transmission, Newmarket. I called a tow truck (my car having no gears now) and the tow truck operator's humourous question was "had I just had undercoating done on the car" (sprayed with oil?).
Frank Ragno, the owner of Mister Transmission, Newmarket, was very responsive and helpful. He listened to everything I told him that had happened and didn't try to brush me off, try to get rid of me or treat me like a dumb woman. His shop had to redo the transmission work that supposedly had been done in North Bay. The cause of the breakdown was an after market inferior cooling system which was installed by Dan and his crew as a modification kit, for which I was charged $229.00. Unfortunately I didn't find out that the modified cooling system was all wrong until I was driving on a major highway 6 days later and guess what - banging, loss of top gear, loss of power, another tow truck trip back up to Mister Transmission, Newmarket (second free undercoating). Once again, Frank and his shop were extremely professional and helpful. This second transmission blow up made Frank think to discard the aftermarket modification kit and reinstall the original factory cooling system for the transmission.
Image driving down a highway with all of the tranny fluid spraying all over the hot exhaust pipes, etc. There was a real likelihood that my car could(and possibly me) could have burned to ashes. Would Dan then have said "we didn't work on that part of the car - my people are not licensed to do undercoating?" His total lack of professionalism and responsibility and duties to customers is apparent in that in the 2 week period of the so-
called overhaul,(for which Ipaid over$3,000) my transmission blew up twice.
No one could ever convince me that I was not in serious danger driving my car - first being given a vehicle with loose wheel bearings and a butchered transmission(don't they road test the vehicles before they give them back to the customers?) - and second having had installed a modification to my transmission that was unnecessary and unsafe.
With my experience at Mister Transmission,North Bay,Ican tell you that these are the kind of idividuals who
give bad names to all of the good mechanics and franchises.
To avoid an experience like mine and for your own safety,IT'S WORTH THE DRIVE(OR TOW) TO NEWMARKET- ONTARIO-

My advice to anyone who reads this is that it's worth the drive to Newmarket, even if it has to be towed for your own safety.
Mister Transmission - Winnipeg
A Bunch of A$$'s is what they are. Free inspection ...
ya OK !! It was free until they started dismantling everything. They advised me it was going to cost me $2000-$4000 to repair. I assume they planted all those metal chips in the tranny fluid pan as well, now that I think about it.
I ended up paying for them to put it back together. However, they made sure they left something unplugged, because the van wouldn't start. The bastards pushed it out into the parking lot and left it there with me in it. I had to call a tow truck and take it to another garage.
I guess when I chose not to have them replace the tranny, they wrote me off. They wanted to charge me extra to put it back on the lift to figure out why it wouldn't start. It ran perfect until they drove it into there shop. Stay away from these crooks ...
Canada wide...there all connected.
