NEST thermostat
- Nest thermostat from Mississippi Power Marketplace was free.
- Shipping was $16.62; I saved it for later.

Last September, I got a Nest thermostat from Mississippi Power Marketplace. The thermostat was free, and the shipping was $16.62.
I have been saving the thermostat until I need it. Today, I spoke with my AC man about my unit and informed him that while he is here, he can change out my thermostat and put the Nest in. He told me that Nest thermostats are one of the most unreliable and troublesome thermostats on the market.
He said that is probably why Mississippi Power was giving them away. So, I will just hang on to this unless I absolutely need it in a jam.

The lady I talked to did turn it in for a crew to go out to the site . She was glad I had called & turned in as a potential dangerous issue.
I believe that the work crew will see to removing the limbs off of the power lines. I feel confident that it will be taken care of today before anyone has the risk of losing power during this cold weather.

Bill payment
- Direct draft on July 12, 2024; Miss Power says it was not received.
- I'm on disability; paying early caused a double payment and I want a credit or refund.
Nothing happened
I had a direct draft from my Cadence checking account on July 12, 2024, over a month ago. I have a bank statement to prove it, but Miss Power says they did not receive it.
I called my bank and several people at Miss Power, but no one knows anything. I always pay my bill early, but it has put me a month behind because I had to pay it twice. I draw disability because I'm very sick. I don't know what else to do.
Please, can someone tell me who to talk to besides the 800 number on the bill?
All I want is to either apply it towards next month or have my money refunded. Thanks.
