Refused to help

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - The staff refused to help with undone bandages on an injured dog and told me to go to the original clinic hundreds of miles away.

would not help me with bandages that had become undone. Told me to take my dog to where the original bandages were applied.

I told them it was 100's of miles away.

They did not care and refused to help me. What kind of medical facility refuses to help an injured dog just because some other doctor applied the previous bandages?

User's recommendation: you would be better off finding a clinic that puts caring first

Deceptive Business practices

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Paid $1,000; drove 8 hours from El Paso for a procedure they couldn't perform.
  • - They did unnecessary testing and charged before informing capabilities.

Basically paid this vet 1,000.00 $ for nothing. Drove 8 hours from El Paso because they stated they could do Conduct a procedure my dog needs, come to find out when we got here they cant do it yet they did other unnecessary testing to tell us what we already knew.

Rip off, make sure they can do what you ask for before you hand over youre credit card. I could've used the time to go to a place with competent doctors. This is deceptive business practices.

Dr. Jennifer Garcia is negligent of first informing clients/patients of what their actual capabilities are until after running their charges up.

Loss:
$1000
Cons:
  • Unnecessary procedures and charges
  • Unable to conduct procedure that requested

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Ask them and make sure they will perform what you need before you pay and they do unnecessary procedures.

Mission Veterinary Services In San Antonio

AI Highlights
  • - Staff were uncaring and focused on money.
  • - In an emergency it took about 4 hours; the dog had a large neck wound and faced euthanasia.

Terrible service, "care you can count on"???? staff was uncaring, my dog was going to be euthanized and they care the less, terrible customer service.

It is very clear that they care about the money, took 4 hours to help me even though it was an emergency, dog with huge open wound on neck, terrible service is an understatement. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS THERE, EXPENSIVE, CRUEL, THEY ARE NOT IN BUSINESS FOR THE ANIMALS!!!! I was the only one concerned about my dogs well being, they seem to care for getting payment and forms signed.

So insensible to a dying and severely wounded dog, staff never asked about the dog, really BAD SERVICE. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE IN AN EMERGENCY, THEY REALLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR DOGS WELL BEING!

Your posting is appreciated by our entire group so that we can investigate and remedy any possible service breakdowns. The care provide to your pet was not through Mission Veterinary Specialists.

Mission Veterinary Specialists is a fantastic specialty/referral hospital for pets needing Internal medicine, Specialized Surgical, Advanced Dentistry and Neurology services. As we have all experienced, emergency rooms whether for people or for pets can be hectic depending on the number of patients being cared for, at the time of the visit. On your behalf, we have researched the service and care you received so that we can take appropriate action. In the end, we found your pet was hospitalized with IV Fluids, pain control and wound care to keep him comfortable overnight.

Like many parents find, taking their children (whether the two-legged or four-legged variety) to the emergency room can be stressful and an unexpected expense. Without pet insurance, these visits take more time as admission forms and estimates must be created as clients and veterinarians create treatment plans as well as caring for other sick or injured pets. We are disappointed that we did not meet your expectations.

As a result, three of our veterinarians, the business owners and the management team have met to review your visit and discussed our findings with the entire team. Thank you for your feedback and help.

Mission V Igc

After carefully investigating your complaint, we determined that the care provided to your pet at the Mission Veterinary Center was by Mission Pet Emergency rather than Mission Veterinary Specialists. Mission Veterinary Specialists is a separate and unrelated business.

It is disappointing to see your posting on this review board and to hear that your experience was anything less than stellar. We find their care and responsiveness to be exceptional.
