I arrived at Minty Dental on Petersen Avenue in Chicago on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. I had spoken with an Angelica in the Billing Dept.
who also gave me a quote I wrote down months prior. I had explained the type of dental implants I was looking for, etc. I also texted back and forth with a Customer Service person prior to my visit. I provided her with all of my insurance information which included a copy of my Met Life Dental renewal letter.
I was quoted x amount off as a result of Angelica checking and verifying my insurance coverage. I arrive and the front desk asks me to fill out paperwork which I did. I was asked again for copies of my insurance along with a photo ID. I told them whom I had spoken to and the quotes given by Angelica.
Unfortunately, there was an Angelica at the front desk who said I shouldn't have been provided this information, WHAT?? Then, things went from bad to worse. I met with a Dr. Jaanuu.
I gave her all my information and said I spoke to an Angelica. The front desk told me there was nolther Angelica but the Doctor said there is an Angelica who gives quotes and checks insurance at another location. I showed this Doctor the text messages with Eryn, the ppwk I texted her with, and the information/quotes Eryn came back with from the Angelica in the Billing Dept off site. Then, this Dr.
Jaanuu says that Eryn just messaged her saying she didn't remember seeing the ppwk I sent and did not give me any information!! Again, I said to this Doctor, I just showed you these text messages in black and white. Then, later, this Eryn said she found the information and had forgotten?? because she deals with alot of offices This Dr.
Jaanuu questioned and tried to intimidate me on prices, how I was going to pay, etc.!! Then she said she had to verify All my insurance information again!!
I get a text from this Eryn today and she said Sr. Jaanuu told her my Dental insurance was inactive!! I said, WHAT?
I called Met Life and they said your insurance is active and in good standing! I texted Eryn back with the number to call and my Policy number again.
I told her I was fed up with their attitude and incompetency! I told her I would report them!

Preferred solution: Apology and I want to speak with this Angelica in billing. I also want to know who is above these incompetent people. It is outrageous to put someone thru this!

I’m pretty sure it’s privately owned by a dentist. BBB lists a Dr Marjan as contact.
