Mill City is the Best

I have shopped at many antique shops before and can tell you that Mill City is the best. Now under new management, it is a great shopping experience. Never the same place twice, Mill City booths change often and items are priced reasonably. The booths are set up by individual owners and are such a wonderful eclectic mix, there is something for everyone there. I bring everyone that comes to visit me down to Mill City Antiques and they all say the same thing; Wow what a great place. Contrary to the last owners, the new owner and employees greet you warmly when you enter and do are happy to help answer any questions for you, but do not bother you like the old owners did...I Love Mill City

All of the bad publicity with regard to MillCity Antiques and Consignment was caused by the former owners, Sean & Cindy. Sean was the primary cause of the negative publicity.

He is a former felon, a *** artist, a thief and he takes great joy in intimidating just about anyone who crosses his path. The store was sold to the new owner several months ago. She a consumate professional who has many years in the business and is very aware of how essential good customer service is to any business. I visit the store often, and have come to know her very well.

She has a lovely personality and a wonderful sense of humor. Since Sean left, more and more customers, as well as dealers, are coming into the store. The atmosphere is lighthearted and can be felt as soon as you walk into the store. It's just so sad that this wonderful shop got such a bad rap due to the misdeeds of the former owners.

I hope other people read this comment so they will know MillCity is a wonderful antique store to visit and shop. I know I can spend hours shopping in the store. The dealers are wonderful as is their merchandise. Give the store a try.

There is no new owner. Cynthia and Sean just want people to think this because there in trouble "big time".

I have read everything about these two. Their partners in bed and in crime.

This store needs to be closed down or burnt to the ground. It has become an infectious business here in Manchester and their crimes has soiled this city with disgust and pollen.

The only reason why its under new management is because of the lawsuit which is on this site. From what I heard is the last owners are deep in a pile of dog *** by damaging someone's vehicle.

Why act like a *** *** and damage somebody's personal property? People today just can't talk to one another anymore and settle out their problems.

I give the lady who wrote the other post kudos for doing the right thing and taking the owners to court. I wish her the best of luck.

Millcity antiques owner intimidates you until you purchase

on june 28th 2021 i went in to mill city in manchester,nh i was approached by this big thug named shawn who turned out to be th owner, he ask you what you like then shows you an item, he constantly pressures you to purchase the item while your in the store, giving *** lines i was a marine come on buy it, your going to regret not buying it,this guy is a complete mental case, he needs therapy and a business ethics course he is big, mean, and smells bad,he will constantly follow you and harass you until you make a purchase in his store, which is nothing but junk,if you do not make a purchase he throws a temper tantrum like a 2 year old, and refuses to let you leave his store, this guy is dangerous in the community and should be shut down before he hurts some one,avoid his manchester, NH store Millcity Antiques it will save you alot of grief.

I have been to MillCity Antiques 3x...great building, most of the dealers have done an excellent job displaying their wares, fabulous vignettes, and lots of eye candy. Prices seemed high though.Especially since I recognized many pieces from other shops, sales & auctions.

The reason I cannot give the place any more stars is because of the lack of courtesy, customer service & general greeting & acknowledgement (from the owners/staff) of customers as they come through the door.

For me this is key! A simple HELLO & a smile takes 2 seconds. But I have been in there, roaming the aisles, standing near the front, playing with the dog etc & the desk people never even looked up at me.

It's a shame because I think many of the dealers have fabulous stuff but there is something in the vibe there that puts me off.

My friend and I arrived at Mill City today....It isn't easy to find--no outside signs--we walked in said hello and walked around. Merchandise was nicely displayed--no music (I don't know why but it makes me feel more like shopping if there's upbeat music)--my problem was their attitude when we asked directions to another antique store.

They had no idea where OPUS was..we left and as we were leaving we overheard them talking about OPUS and that it meant Other Peoples Unique Stuff. They sure knew where it was.

Thank you to the nice ladies at Antiques on Elm for telling us about Mill City and how to get there--we will be back to Antiques on Elm but bye bye Mill City

I went this past month (July 2013) and this place was great! I wasn't pressured at all by the staff, you're free to look around and enjoy and your own pace, and this place is HUGE!

So many interesting things!

I definitely plan to go back. Recommended!

For those of you who do not know the owner Sean Corriveau, here is some info on public record for you to look up for yourself. Look up court records in the Merrimack Valley and see how many rulings there were and are against him.

Look up landscapingfiasco dot com. Look up Powerhouse gym in Hudson, NH. Look up police records and see the charges of stalking and find out the fraud that gave him a record and sent him to jail. It's all out there, personal feelings aside.

You can't run from the truth forever. Like Father, like Son.

Mill City Antiques in Manchester is a great place to shop. Lots of wonderful antiques, collectibles, Furniture, Pottery, china you name it.

I spent an afternoon in there this week and had a great time going down memory lane. The folks that run this place are friendly and courteous. The old mill building if full of history with such a really warm atmosphere. Take a day soon and spend some time browsing through you will enjoy yourself.

I spoke with the owner there and she told me she had just bought the business and was excited about creating an antique shopping destination and I think she is right on track. Have a look see for yourself.

THIS ENTIRE POST IS MOOT. I went to MillCity Antiques late March 2013 and it is all UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT.

The new owner is super friendly and has turned the place into the best shop around.

She helps you find what you are looking for or leaves you alone if you are just browsing. This shop is one of New England's best destinations to find what you need to decorate any home!
