Medicis used to have a $5 Margherita Monday special and I would usually order one or two to share with co workers. It was a very affordable lunch for those of us who don't have a lot of money to spend on going out.

I called in an order for 2 of the Monday Margherita pizza specials (which used to be $5) for carry out and I even said the Monday Margherita special! When I got there there was nobody there servicing the tables or bar so I had to wait a good 5-7 minutes before I even got anyone to ring up my pizzas. Then I was told the price was $17.42 which is almost twice what I would normally pay for the lunch special! I then asked if these were the $5 Margheritas and she responded with an attitude "We quit that. The were supposed to tell you". There was no offer to reduce the price as had not been advised of this and when I told her that she said "Yeah they are $8.50 now". There was note even an apology! As a person who has been in the customer service business for over 35 years this is just bad service all the way around! If I had been comped the additional charge or even had a simple apology I would have been quite as upset. I have referred a lot of my co workers and friends to this place but I will be sure they hear about this. Don't get me wrong. The pizza was good and I don't have a problem paying $8.50 for a pizza but the lack of customer service and any sort of willingness to work with the customer has left a bad taste in my mouth!
