Middletown Toyota Oil Change Review from Hartford, Connecticut
- - Free Scion oil change was offered, but the rest of the service disappointed.
- - Lights and back brakes were replaced, and the wheel lock was forgotten.
So with my last visit with my 2010 Scion, besides getting my free oil change I had several lights replaced and my back brakes replaced. Apparently everything was very rushed, first time that my car was not washed, fluids not topped, and not even an oil change sticker On the windshield.
Worst part is, I go to my local tire company to get my tires changed and find out that the technician forgot to put back my wheel lock.
Extremely unsatisfied, disappointed, and inconvenienced by Toyota. If it weren't for my free Scion oil changes I'd never go back again.
Toyota Rav4 Review
I bought Rav4 at Middletown Toyota.I have some issues with it.unfortunately I am getting runaround.if only I could give it back.
Serviceing your car may be dangerious
- - Cabin filter installed wrong; heat not at full capacity.
- - Body work damaged window bracket; gas leak present.
Went for oil change and cabin air filter. Cabin air filter put in the wrong way and the heat blowers not working to full capassity.
Had body work done and they broke the window bracket, now there is a gas leak not sure if they caused this going to have my regular place to check it out. Dealers sell cars they don't fix them. I worry about going in there for any service I may have more problems on the way out.
Went in twice about the heat not the same just get told they don't see any problem. But I'll bet when warrentty is up they will find the problem.
Bought a 2013 Lexus in July 2014 & immediately experienced problems
- - Tachometer not working; aftermarket starter blamed.
- - Tire pressure light on for weeks.
- - Engine light on; spare key not received; rental car provided at no cost.
When I drove the car off the lot I noticed that my tachometer was not working. When I brought my car in to be serviced I was told that an after-market starter was the cause of the problem.
I am wondering what else could be wrong with my car...The tire pressure light has been on for several weeks. I had several people (including myself) try to address this problem without success. Now my engine light is on! I am thinking there are more problems that I don't even know about.
And what problems I am going to have in the future. This is very disturbing to me because I paid a lot of money for this car! AND I still have not received the spare key I was promised!! When I had my car serviced for the tachometer issue I was given a rental vehicle @ no cost to me but no other compensation for my time spent @ the dealership was offered.
I believe this is poor salesmanship. I have purchased FOUR vehicles from Middletown Toyota with this Lexus making the FIFTH vehicle purchased from them.
As a loyal customer I expected more than what I received especially considering the issues I have outlined above! I will be looking for another dealership.
Bait and Switch Auto Lease Contract
- - -They leased a 2011 Sienna; contract overwrote terms after payment.
- - -The internet manager matched another dealer's offer; staff were disrespectful.
My husband and I had our 2nd appointment with our salesperson @ Middletown Toyota. We sat down to negotiate a lease agreement for a 2011 Toyota Sienna.
We wanted to offer another monthly payment option for the lease w/ a new down payment. We told him what we wanted; the internet manager then came over after hearing us use his name and told our salesperson that they would match the offer that we had given them. The offer we submitted came to us from another Toyota dealership who we went called to comparison shop. Our salesman WROTE DOWN our aggreement on the lease contract paper and verified with us TWICE that all of the terms were correct.
After waiting and handing over a check for the down payment, we told that they weren't sure about our approval for the lease, but they needed us to call the insurance company for our proof of insurance cards. When we finally ended up in the finance person's office she showed us the contract w/the lease terms on it and they had WRITTEN OVER our original agreement. When we became upset the salesman tried to make it seem like we were the ones pulling a fast one and that he never agreed to the original offer we made. The finance girl and our salesman were extremely disrespectful and rude.
I absolutely do not recommend Middletown Toyota to anybody. Do not let them bait and switch your contract...review everything!
Bad dealership in Middletown ct
- - In Middletown, CT, the reviewer asked if the online-listed car is in stock.
- - The sales rep asked for name and phone; the reviewer declined.
I called Middletown Toyota, in middletown ct. I wanted to know if it had a particular car in stock for me to come and see.
this car was listed on the dealer's website - but i have been burned before -- you go there and they sold the car last week or some such and never updated the website. Anyhow - I ask this sales guy if he has the car for me to see -- he wants to know my name and phone number. i am like - name, fine - phone - no way do i want some sale guy calling me -- so i said - I prefer not to give you mu number. I simply want to know if you have in stock for real - the car that you say you have online.
the guy hung up on me.
just like that. this dealership will NEVER get my business.

Sounds to me like it changed when you got into the office cause your credit sucked, the terms on a lease will change if your credit sucks...The salesman had no clue your credit sucked only the business manager would have known that...thats why it changed when you got in there...they "turned the table" on you when they realized you were a rat. You need somewhat decent credit to lease a car....I can see how its their fault your credit sucks...bait and switch huh? complete bozos...its people like you that think you know the car business...yet you know nothing and most importantly, pay nothing (bills)
Yes, blame the buyer for dishonest salespeople. The dealer had a chance to run the credit on the spot (which they did) but their greed and dishonest practices are the real culprit not the buyer's credit.
Your comments blaming the buyer confirm my guess you are a car salesman or finance manager…been in the business and know you're lies!
