Chicago Mid City Subaru experience

I do not have much experience in buying cars. Recently I decided to upgrade my Subaru Forester to the newer version. I went to Mid City Subaru in Chicago. The sales people showed me the new car. I had a test drive and eventually I ended up buying. After signing all the papers - new loan application, sale of my older Subaru, registration change, etc. I got the keys to the new car. When I started the car I realized that it was not the car which I tested. The car which I drove had 7 miles on the odometer; the car I ended up with had 187 miles. Most probably the dealer swapped the car I selected with, perhaps, a floor model. It was an evening and both cars were of the same color. All the papers were already signed and I could not do anything. Two days later I wrote about it to Theo Davis - the Mid City Subaru Sales Manager but he has not answered my emails. The sales person was Latosha Green. There were also some small items missing (passenger cup holder divider), but Mid City Subaru does not reply to my e-mails. Knowing this story, I hope, you make a right choice where not to buy your next car. My advice (too late for me) is to write down the VIN number of the selected vehicle and check it before signing any documents. The sale took place on June 30, 2015.
