My Items

Hello! My name is Jeffrey Connor Hook. I am messaging about my the items I dropped off for framing (and paid for) two weeks ago (actually a little over) in Houston, Texas. It has been two weeks since I took them in and I am getting mad at the situation. The framing service does not pick up their phones at the store and I am going to start demanding my items with the frames and a refund back for these. Can you please check the status of all of this. Custom framing order

Hello,

My husband dropped off a picture that had fallen off our wall and the frame was separated at the corners. Corey, at our Lawrence, KS store, said the frame would need to be replaced.

The matting and glass was fine and would be reused. The cost to repair this came to $179.36. This seemed very high so I called Hobby Lobby and two other local framing shops. They all came in $50-$60 less expensive for the same type of frame, size, labor, etc.

When I called the store and spoke with Abby the manager, she just said this was Michael's costs and there was nothing that could be done as the work had already began on the frame. Our store is very small and in a strip mall with vacant spaces across the street from Hobby Lobby! If this Michael's location wants to stay in business they may want to improve prices and customer service. I would like a partial refund or a gift card to the store to compensate for the extremely high cost.

We like to support Michael's but being overcharged like this is not okay. Thank you, Julie Grandon / Andrew Sexton

Dissatisfied with frame quality and lack of customer service

Michaels Custom Framing - Dissatisfied with frame quality and lack of customer service

Recently I had a poster reframed where I supplied the poster and the glass.

I was only purchasing the frame, which came in scratched. They offered to have it redone but said it might happen again.

The employee told me that my frame was just pressed sawdust and glue with a "sticker" covering it to look like metal. There was no mention of this when I chose it, and it was NOT inexpensive.

It was redone without scratch but with no accommodation and an additional trip to the store.

I tried online and by phone to contact customer service, but, apparently, there is NO such thing. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere for framing.

The custom framing dept closed before the store closed. Thats poor customer service if schedules dont allow for client to come in to store 2-3 hours before closing. Of course this affected my coupon and my ability to get service in a timely manner. I want to formally complain that I was unable to use coupon because framer left early

Not happy with custom framing of golf flag

Michaels Custom Framing - Not happy with custom framing of golf flag

I was told I would receive a call when my custom framing was complete, approximately 2 weeks after drop off. Three weeks later I called to inquire about framed golf flag and was told 'Oh yes, it has been here over a week..' Never received a phone call!

Went to pick up and was not happy with results. Flag was all bunched up, creased, not lying flat at all. I told the framing department I was not happy with how it looked. Was told a manager would call me in a day or two.

The next day, I was called and was told there was nothing they could do. The fIag had been sewn around all the edges and the buckling was a result of the embroidery. Iexpressed my dissatisfaction and ultimately picked up the framed flag. I returned home only to find out flag was not sewn around the edges, but only tacked at corners!!!

I am so angry with Michael's custom framing.

I have been a customer of their framing department for years but will NEVER do business with them again. VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!
