Michael J. Kelly Painting - Beware!

AI Highlights
  • - Poor workmanship and damage by Michael J. Kelly & Sons painting.
  • - Paint on floors, thresholds, and railing; holes and missed caulking; laundry closet missed.

I just had Michael J. Kelly & Sons painting (based in Wayne, PA) paint my townhouse in Paoli.

Boy, what a lousy job. Not only was there inferior workmanship, but damage to my home. Tons of paint on my tiled floor entrance, wooden thresholds, iron railing, and they even sprayed the glass insert to my storm door (inadvertently of course). I was sick when I saw it.

Not to mention the holes in the walls which were not filled in, caulking that wasn't done, and a whole laundry closet which someone 'missed'. He demands a premium price (almost $9000 in my case), but doesn't deliver the goods.

I am extremely disappointed. I hope someone doesn't make the same mistake I did.

Lied to me and refuse to give me my deposit back. I read bad reports on them. Scared me.

AI Highlights
  • - Refund denied under five-day rule after a Monday deposit.
  • - Promises changed from Wednesday to Thursday; reviews warn of damage/theft.

It didn't sit right with me after I made the deposit. I looked them up on the internet and lots of bad reviews they got last year.

Two days after the deposit they wouldn't give me the money back because they said I had to cancel the truck five days in advance. I gave the deposit on Monday and they said they would have a truck on Wednesday, then Thursday. How, could I cancel the truck five days in advance when it wasn't even five days? They are just greedy liars.

A reputable moving company doesn't even ask for a deposit. You pay when your stuff is delivered by a cashier's check. Nationwide Relocation Services is a rip off company. They only care about lining their pockets and not about the customer.

I read that customers things arrived damaged or completely broken not just one or two items, but everything. That things were gone through and many things stolen, mostly electronics.

This scared me and I didn't want those brokers to hire a trucker to move me after that.
