Finantial Aid is a joke… to expensive, not solve problems and it sucks

I was doing an associated in fashion design I graduated and I decided to go back and do my bachelors.

I owe 1000 from the associates so they put it in my bachelors so I could pay month by month $100 each month.

From my bachelors I had a return of like 1000 or 2000 dollars each quoter for materials ( books fabrics etc )

This is what happened:

1) They told me that my payment plan for the associates was 100 each month and that they would give me what I had left from my loans so I could pay it faster If i want it to.

2) That didn't happened, I went to the school and the school got the money and pay it automatically ( So that was fine with me )

3) I get a call saying and a Mail that I still owe the $1000 ??

So what happened with the money from my loans?????? !!!!

4) I called and I asked what happened … now the story was for 4 or 5 time different, that the financial aid could not give the money because I owe the other money. So they have frizzed like 3000 or 4000 dollars till I pay the 1000!!!

5) I withdraw from school because its a joke, and now they are charging me for things I don't even know , I call I send letters and none answers and since I moved to a different city is such a pain.

6) The classes they offered are not great, they baby sitter you but they don't teach you .

I had one class that the teacher only explained the powerpoint !!!

I had other classes that the point is to finish fast, not do a great work .

Your not going to school to pretend you are in project runway and do everything fast .. is more about learning the process.

and well this is my complain. This is to expensive for what they teach and none helps.

Art Institute in Miami forced me to drop out!

I was a former student at Miami International University of Art & Design and I dropped out of this school with 133 credits. After speaking to the president of the school and the head of financial aid, they didn't want to take me back because my last private loan was declined after my mom was approved.

I tried to contact my loan officer from the bank for 6 months straight and tried to get this school to do anything to get me back and finish in the summer of 2010 since I was suppose to get a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts which it never happened. My loan officer never responded my phone calls and the head of financial aid didn't do anything to get in touch with the loan officer.

Don't go to this school for filmmaking. Go to a community college like Miami-Dade which offers an AA and a a new degree" Bachelor's of Applied Science" in film and they have a good reputation within the media industry in Miami. It's a whole lot cheaper and a whole lot better than this school. This school is filled with corrupted people ready to suck out lots of money out of your pocket and if you don't have the money, they will throw u out.

This school is filled with corrupted people ready to suck out lots of money out of your pocket and your so-called "talent". If you don't have the money for next quarter or the following quarter, they are not there to help you. I was forced to drop out by my financial aid advisor and I'm stuck in a huge debt. This school does not help you find a job after you graduate.

If you enroll into this school, leave and take your money to FIU, Miami-dade college or University of Miami or something like that where you are promised to graduate and have a job ready whether you are in a small or large debt, you are promised to graduate on stage for hard-working students like me. Only 3 quarters left to graduate and the school decides to throw me out. I love my film teachers but be careful with the chairperson of the film department, the financial aid department, and the President of the school.

They are very corrupted. I'M NEVER GOING TO FORGET THIS...EDUCATION IS A BUSINESS!
