Metropolitan Anesthesia Consultants - Dallas, TX

Service provided itself was fine. However, any and all managers and personnel in the billing department need to be fired and replaced with people who are competent. First time I dealt with them was the birth of my daughter in Dec. 08. Six months later I get a final notice for a past due bill. I never received the first bill. The final bill was addressed wrong, so the initial bills were obviously sent back to them. The postman was just gracious enough to get this final bill to me. Long story short, they got paid and I thought this incident was all handled. However they had already got a collection agency involved and I get calls to this day from various collection agencies when one writes it off to another collection agency. Whatever. The second time I had to deal with them was with the birth of my son in July 2012. The hospital we used only uses this group of anesthesiologist. Because of my insurance I had no other choice but to use this hospital. This go around we made sure they had the correct billing address on file. A month or so later I get the bill, actually I get two, one, one day. Then another the next day. Both are identical and postmarked on the envelopes on the same date. As you can imagine, I call them immediately and ask is this one bill or two. Do I owe one payment or two. I'm told that it is the same bill and only one payment is due. I send them the payment, they cash my check and a couple weeks later I getting final bill in the mail saying that I'm past due! WTF. This time around, I got my bank involved. A week later I get a letter from them stating that everything has been resolved. I HOPE I never have to do business with this group of people ever again.
