Victimized by Metroplex Roof and Fence
Can Charles(Chet, Chuck) Fairchild run his roofing scam from behind bars? In fact, he was arrested and charged with multiple felonies.
The former office location has been abandoned. I'm not sure his lying, cheatin and double dealing is going to work for him this time. ~Karma~ is a real B****. If you have been a victim of Metroplex Roof and Fence or Charles Fairchild, not only should you contact the Corinth Police department, you should write a letter to the district attorney and presiding Judge in Denton County and ask that they throw the book at Mr.
Fairchild. DFW Social Media Management (what a crock)
Corinth Roof scammer arrested

This company is a fraud. Take your money and run
My roof got hit by hail storm on 3/17/16. The next day their saleman, Chris Marsh, knocked on my door,,, and we struck a deal.
On 4/6/16, I signed contract with them to have my roof replaced. At that time, I said I am in no hurry to get my roof replaced but I would like it done in the summer. Summer came and went, Chris never called me to follow up. Finally on 8/5/16 Chris came and asked me to pay a 50% deposit ($10,916.54) up front so they can start the work order.
3-4 weeks went by and no sign of materials dropped in front of my house nor any sign of any roofman on my house so I called and left them a few messages. On 9/1/16 Chris called me back and said it will be 2-3 weeks before they can work on my roof because there are 10 customers in front of me. 3 weeks came by still nothing being done on my roof so I called the office. Chris finally called me back saying it will be another 4-8 weeks because there are now 13 customers in front of me.
On 11/4/16, I called the office again for updates. This time, the owner brother, Brandon Fairchild, answered the phone. Brandon said the company just fired a lot of folks because they didn't do their jobs. He also assured me that he will get my roof done on 12/1/16.
For the last couple of days, I've been texting and calling but no one responded back. They just stop answering or return my calls.
Not only will I sue the owner and his brother, Charles C Fairchild and Brandon Fairchild respectively, I will call the police. These crooks need to be put behind bars
Received payment for services we rendered then ran
Received payment for the services we rendered and are now not making payment or answering our calls. In May of 2016, Wes, a salesman for Metroplex Roof and Fence contacted us to give a bid for replacement windows for one of their existing customers.
In late July 2016 Wes contacted me and let me know that the customer was ready to purchase the windows. James met with Brad, the project manager, and they signed the contract and got a check for $8,739.25 which was half of the total of the job. The windows came in and were installed on September 8, 2016. The customer paid Metroplex Roof and Fence upfront for the total of the replacement windows.
Despite that fact, upon completion of the job, no one would answer the phone. Neither Wes nor Brad work for the company any. James went up to the office in Corinth and spoke with George, the office manager, and Shea, the accounts payable person. At first they tried to deny knowing about the job and denied having ordered the windows.
Then, upon showing them the deposit check (signed by Shea) and the signed contract they claimed they only could give us $2,000.00 that day and would give us the remaining $4,633.00 the following Friday. On Friday, September 16th, again no one would answer my phone calls. I blocked my number and I finally got Stephanie to answer the phone.
She claimed everyone was "in a meeting." I requested to speak with Chuck Fairchild and she stated he was on a 5 week vacation in Mexico. Metroplex Roof and Fence was paid in full for services we delivered and have made every attempt to avoid paying us what is owed.
Preferred solution: Pay the remainder of the contract
Metroplex Roof And Fence - Review in Home Construction and Repair category from Ames, Iowa
They are no longer in business due to their workmanship. So these reviews are pointless now.
But have no fear. After bankruptcy is filed they will open up under a brand new name.
Metroplex Roof and Fence Imcompentant and Irresponsible
Metroplex Roof and Fence: Complete Incompetence. The worst they placed the WRONG shingles on our home and have refused to correct their mistakes
Started in June 2015 with initial assessment and meeting insurance agent with Jason. Got insurance approval and they agreed to do ALL work as noted by/paid by insurance.
Metroplex Roof and Fence absorbed our deductible and let us pick out shingles. They did not start work for weeks after they promised in part due to a lot of rain they did come by to do a temporary patch to prevent further interior water damage. Finally work began and permanent repairs were made after weeks of calls. They completed the back side of our roof by the time I arrived home; it was too dark to see. When I left next morning they were removing front but couldn't see new shingles yet because it was blocked by debris. When arrived home the roof was already done but husband noted immediately wrong shingles, nothing like chosen and specifically the ones we said CLEARLY did not want. They had also removed a skylight that wasn't damaged and replaced with new, but correct type- tinted and brown trim. Then hadn't changed other three skylights needed. Jason acknowledged mistakes, said we'd talk about shingles after all work was completed. They then put on cheap white/silver skylight where we had 2 tinted, brown ones and still didn't replace large skylight that was leaking stating it had been ordered. Jason told George he got cheap skylights at Lowes just to get done. We had already had trim replaced and painted on our own and waiting for gutters to be replaced. We removed gutters, not them. After multiple phone calls was told that Jason was setting everything up, now over two months into project. I request supervisor, George came, and reviewed entire home. Saw all incomplete work, including gutters which had been measured two weeks prior. Admitted skylights looked horrible and would be replaced. Noted all screens and interior water damaged ceilings. George acknowledged that contract clearly stated shingles and they were definitely the wrong shingles and no one had us verify them prior to putting on. He stated Nathan had been assigned now and would come talk with me and George would speak with his partner about the shingles. I told him if they weren't going to give us fair compensation to keep the wrong shingles on(which now required us to repaint all the newly painted trim to try to match, still waiting to finish painting entire house because of them) then I wanted shingles replaced to match exactly what the contract says. One week later Nathan came did the same walk around, stated he would get on all of the unfinished projects. The gutter people showed up without notice and I was not home stating they were not only doing gutter that were covered by insurance but the gutter we had discussed on interior portion of home that had flooded. I told him that the discussion was hypothetical r/t cost and I did not want anything until they gave me an estimate on the additional costs. When I got home there was gutter installed on the insured area and ALL of the other area I did not agree to- but I had no bill either. Was later told the roofing company was doing it "for free".
Weeks have now gone by (October 2015), no one has come to do any more work, screens are still off or damaged; back skylight broken, 2 are incorrect, no interior repair done. The total for work NOT completed $3,630.14. The cost to have shingles removed and replaced $19,797.80. We have paid them the majority of the initial bill while retaining around $7,000 until completion. I have called several times and told first they were going to get out here and then that they were discussing compensation for shingle mistake instead of replacing. Then they called to offer $1500 only for shingles color. My husband said that was not enough. They haven't called for about 3 weeks and now when we called they stated they were not going to do any of the work unless we agreed to the $1500 offer to compensate us for our entire roof being roofed with an ugly, unacceptable shingle. I have told them that I am very sick and need the interior work completed immediately for health reasons and they have not returned any call or come out to do work.
We want the work completed immediately and fair compensation for those ugly shingles. They are 100% responsible, it would cost over $19,000 to remove and replace. They can pay a portion as compensation or they can put on the correct shingles for original payment. It is not our fault they made such a costly mistake and we should both be about 50% satisfied. I do not want to be billed for gutters I did not ask to have installed although I would consider paying a reduced fee to cover labor as I do think that gentleman did a very good job
Not exactly sure why everyone is complaining
Metroplex Roof and Fence did a wonderful job on all of the Roofs in my neighborhood. I honestly have no complaints.
The office staff is wonderful and very helpful. I love my new Roof and Fence and wouldn't have been able to get it if it wasn't for Metroplex Roof and Fence.
My insurance had originally said no so I figured it wouldn't hurt having someone else call and also look at the damage and TADA they got my new roof bought. Everything happened in a timely manner besides waiting for the insurance paperwork (which isn't the companys fault)
Metroplex Roof And Fence Roof Replacement Review from Lake Dallas, Texas
Metroplex Roof and Fence took my insurance check for my roof in December of 2013. I am still waiting for my roof to be replaced and it is September 2015.
They won't answer my called or return my messages. They are liars, cheats and frauds. Worst business ethics ever.
I am reporting them for fraud. Don't give them your money!
Roof Installation Review
On June 16, 2015 a crew came to my after a two month wait once they received my deposit of four thousand plus dollars, and was in process of installing new roof and when i heard a noise like someone fell and one of the spat on me when i went to check. They have knocked stff off the walls and two a/c vents out of my ceiling. Do Not hire this company!
Roof Leaks by Metroplex Roof and Fence
Metroplex Roof and Fence replaced the roof with Owens Corning Shingles in 2013. The new roof looked horrible from the first day, and began leaking during the next rain, then shingles flew off with the first moderate wind.
Many calls have been made to Metroplex Roof and Fence, starting with the sales representative, to the Customer Service Manger to the Operations Manger all of which state that Metroplex Roof and Fence does not install leaky roofs.
There is a problem with the shingles confirmed by Owens Corning. Owens Corning is offering to replace the shingles with a voucher of less than 6,000. Metroplex charged us over 18,000 to install the leaks just a few months ago.
I suspect Owens Corning and Metroplex Roof and Fence are in cahoots. Shingle suppliers are selling off bunk OC shingles at Fire sale prices and unscrupulous contractors are slapping them up on oblivious homeowners roofs.
The problem is so sever, Owens Corning is unable to inspect all the claims of damage that have been reported. Owens Corning can't hire enough roof inspectors across the country.

Metroplex Roof and Fence denies we have roof leaks without even inspecting. Their promise of a 5 year labor warranty is WORTHLESS
Metroplex Roof And Fence Scam, Frauds, Cheats!
Metroplex Roof and Fence scammed us out of our insurance money! We hired Metroplex Roof and Fence to install our roof, when a sales guy in a polo shirt baring a Metroplex Roof and Fence logo on his chest, holding Metroplex cards came to our door and said that they were roofing some houses in our neighborhood and were offering free roof inspections.
We said ok as we did not see any harm in a free roof inspection. After the inspection the Metroplex rep. said that we indeed had hail damage and we should call our insurance and file a claim for hail damage and that they would be happy to meet with our insurance company to make sure we got they most out of our coverage. We agreed called our insurance and they met with the adjuster.
Our insurance decided to cover am entire roof replacement for our home. Because Metroplex helped with this we were happy to give them our business. Our company rep said that all they needed was the first insurance check we received from our insurance company to get started. We were a little hesitant but wrote them a check in the amount of our first insurance check we received and deposited our insurance check.
We were told we would be put on the schedule for the following week and our materials would be delivered on Tuesday a day before they would began putting our roof on. Well folks here's that point when you know you messed up. Tuesday but the materials did not! We called Metroplex Roof and Fence and they said they would have to reschedule the install to the next week, so we waited until the following Tuesday and once again no materials show up the day before they were to put our new roof on.
At this point we are beginning to get a little annoyed. We called Metroplex Roof and Fence and once again we were told they would need to push it out one more week. We were very reluctant but when ahead as planned. Well the following week approached still no new roof we called Metroplex Roof and Fence to cancel and get our money back, but it seems our number has been put on some sort of block number list and we could not get through so we called from another phone and got through and were told a Manager would call us back, we demanded to speak to someone right then and were told no manager was in the office.
We waited and waited for a phone call back and still have not heard from anyone. We have called and called and still have not been able to speak to anyone. It is now two months later and we now don't have any money from our insurance, because this cheating fraud of a company Metroplex Roof and Fence has stolen it and e still don't have a new roof. We are in the process of filing criminal charges but are hitting a road block because this is considered a contract dispute and is civil.
What out for these guys they will leave you high and dry with hardly no recourse or anything you can do but get cheated.
Metroplex Roof and Fence - lacks experience
Most reviews of this company begin by saying "how nice" the representative appeared in a polo-shirt with a company logo. Here is an example of the sales individuals actual experience, an ad. Metroplex Roof and Fence is seeking those nice looking folks in the polo-shirts.
