Conductor Craig

AI Highlights
  • - Craig said I wasn't authorized to ride and must buy a ticket.
  • - He allowed a one-time ride to Union Station but warned I'd detrain next time.

I am a full-time student at Chapman University, and I take the Orange

County train to Union Station. When I showed conductor Craig my

Access card, along with the Orange County Access letter, he told me

I was not authorized to ride the train, for I am required/mandated to

purchase a ticket.

He stated he would allow me to ride to Union Station--this one-time only, but the next time I would be required to de-train, thus stranding me in Orange County.

Initially, Conductor Craig was addressing me quietly, but then he became loud for all to hear in the compartment.

I think, at the time, he was training another conductor. He was rude and disrespectful, which I found unprofessional.

I am a published, mystery writer, living in Antelope Valley, and it is crucial I arrive at Union Station to make the connection to my destination.

I have never before encountered this, for most, if not all, conductors know me.

User's recommendation: To avoid being stranded, be quiet, saying absolutely nothing that would antagonize the conductors.

Metrolink - Train Service Review

AI Highlights
  • - Train broke down due to engine failure and was stuck ~2 hours.
  • - Ticket for 4:15 pm; train hasn't arrived.
  • - Refund denied; buy another ticket.

Metrolink train to LA Station broke down, stuck in the Antelope Valley Ca. Mountains going on 2 hours due to engine failure.

I purchased a ticket for 415pm and the train still hasn't arrived to LA Station. I made a request to a full refund or a free next trip ticket. Allways had good service with u all for the past year and a half.

I was told no refund and I would have to purchase another ticket. Wow, unbelievable customer service from a Supervisor also.
