Metro Water shut off our water on June 9,costing me $416.75
Metro Water sent me a notice that the water was going to be shut off due to construction activity in our neighborhood (Sabino Canyon Road and Cloud Road) The date was either 6/09 or 6/10/15. The water was shut off from 9:00am until approximately 5:00pm on the date in question. The notice made no mention of the need to shut off the hot water recirculating pump attached to the water tank. Shortly after your people turned the water back on I discovered that my recirculating pump had burned up and needed to be replaced. The reason being was the lack of water circulating through the system. According to the plumber I used ,I required a new pump. The plumber came out the following day and replaced the burned out unit at a cost to me of $416.75. I have the receipt and will gladly make it available for you. Because you failed to advise me that the recirculating pump needed to be shut off when you turned off our water cost me $416.75.It is only right that Metro Water, prior to shutting off the water, inform their customers of any possible problems this might create. Accordingly, I 'm asking you to credit my account for $416.75, because of your failure to properly inform me of the problem shutting off the water,to accommodate you, caused me.
