I signed a contract with Metro Flooring Contractors to have carpet installed in my home. I have a lot of rooms that need carpet and we decided to do it in 3 stages.
The installation was scheduled for Thursday, August 12, 2021. We moved furniture, broke down the children's beds and removed as much as possible to ensure an easy install. The installers showed up, informed us that they did not have enough carpet for the job and would have to reschedule for the next day. The next day, two different installers show up and insist that they were provided with the wrong carpet from the warehouse and would need to get the correct carpet to do the job.
This now makes day 2 of waiting to put my home back together for a carpet install job. Upon speaking with Corey, an office manager, I was basically told that if I didn't think the carpet was correct, they would just refund my money.
This, however, is not an option because the job has already been started and needs to be completed with the same type and color carpet.
Corey explained that the company no longer wanted my business and I am unsure why. Was it because we were alerted to some type of fraudulent activity from within their company and we questioned their integrity?
Their installers came into our home and told us they did not want to install a lower grade of carpet which is what they had in their van.
I appreciate their honesty and would hate to think that Metro is pulling the old "bait and switch on all their customers" and would choose to pull out of a contract instead of making it right when a discrepancy comes up.
Please be cautious and make sure you are getting what you paid for with Metro.
They are doing BAD BUSINESS!!
If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat, its probably a RAT!

Incomplete service
Significantly mismatched color for carpeting. We complained/noted for the company but no action. Further background: What was supposed to be a two-day installation turned into six days with incorrect colors, incorrect padding (not moisture proof), locked doors while working, installers asking for tips/bribes, failure to respect the family's project director (a female), mis-delivered carpeting, being shouted at by the warehouse operations person, scratching of the baseboard, eating lunch in the master bedroom, some of the install teams deemed so subpar by their own mgmt that they had to hire a contractor from Empire, the original salesperson and some of the more professional of the install teams expressed dismay at warehouse mis-deliveries, broken personal items from careless movers, failure to replace doorstops despite promises, pressured to sign off but noted wrong carpet color and padding.
User's recommendation: Caveat emptor.
