Ripped Off By Metro Energy

I was looking forward to my first oil delivery this year after the price for oil dropped about 35%. Then i got a shock for my first delivery on on 01/06/2015. They really dare to charge me price of $3.54 per gallon while you can get everywhere else in NJ a price between $2.30 - $2.50. I called and complained getting at least a competitive price close to the current market price but all i got offered was $0.55 per gallon off by signing another contract for $2.99 for the next 12 month which is still 25% above the current market price. I think the companies should be required by law disclosing the price before they fill up your tank. I am considering contacting the BBB about this shady practice and how you been treated by staying a loyal customer while i could have gotten the gallon from another provider for $1.30 less. Just believed in the faith of them and that they offer the loyal customers and competitive market price. As the icing of the cake they want to charge me a $40 fee to sign their overpriced contract for $2.99 per gallon. I really consider going to the gas station and by Diesel which will be cheaper that these people. They just want to make 500% revenue but I will contact the BBB if this can be right?

Same here at Boonton NJ.

I actually paid early termination of the contract to get out of it...

Basically they operate as bate and switch giving you first delivery very cheap with promise that rates will never exceed specific rate in this case $2.66 for 2016/2017. Well after first delivery not a one delivery was bellow $2.66

After calling bunch of times and asking why is this, I get explanations like well we are also service company.

Never mind that I did not ask for service of my furnace neither I am paying for it.

Sad what these guys do with straight face. I am going for cash only and never will pay for any contract with any oil company...
