Damaged my hair on my birthday and won't even refund
I went to Metamorphosis salon on the 29th of june which happens to be my birthday, to get a haircut and straighten my hair. I arrived there around 12:45 pm and was greeted by Heather. She proceeded with washing my hair. I asked for a deep conditioning, she said that she allegedly put the deep conditioning on. Due to my previous experience. Everytime I get a deep hair conditioning, I have to set under a hair steamer. That did not happen and the whole process of washing and conditioning my hair took 5 minutes. Then we moved to the haircut, I only asked for the dead ends to be cut, the hairdresser then asked me If I wanted some layering, I asked her what she thought and she said that would look pretty. Then I insisted on her making very slight long layers and she agreed on that. After she cut my hair, she proceeded with blow drying it, as I asked her to blow dry it straight, she said that she can not straighten it by blow drying it. That was the first time I have ever heard that!
Then she started straightening my hair with a flat iron and I could smell my hair burning, then I asked her wether she put the heat protectant in my hair and she said that she did in the begining. Since it was my birthday, I did not want to stress my self out and so I just sat there and waited for her to be done. She did my hair the strangest way I have ever seen. Knowing that I have been going to get my hair done since age 12 and I am 27 right now.
I paid and walked out, as soon as I got home, I could notice the disaster and when my friends saw me in the evening, they all were shocked of the outcome!
I contacted the owner to resolve the issue. She asked me to pass by her salon at 6 pm of june 30th. I went there, she has already left and left me an envelop of $30. I told the person working there that I paid more than that. She assured me that the owner wants to resolve this issue and make me happy. I then contacted her again with no response.
This whole incident caused me a huge amount of stress that I was not planning to deal with during my birthday. I asked my husband to take care of this. However the business refuses to refund the full amount. The person working at the salon that saw my hair when I stopped by on the 29th agreed that my hair looked like a disaster.
The least thing that I would ask for is a full refund and some respect. I already filed a dispute with my credit card and I promise that if I get anymore trouble with this company that I will be suing and I know exactly what I am talking about.
