Ford dealerships are really only franchises--did you know that? They are just like a McDonald's. The Ford franchises should follow the rules that Ford Motor Company puts in place. Except Ford really doesn't care about the customer. I purchased an extended warranty service plan with my new ford vehicle. Despite the fact that the rodent nest in the vents that it came with, the chunks of paint that fell off within the first year, and the drivers side door that fell off after a dealer did the recall on the latch, should ALL be covered , none were. The paperwork looks exactly like these things should be covered. None are regular "wear and tear" and at least one (the door!!!!!) is a safety issue. When I called Ford ESP, they agreed these should be covered. Yet, in each case, the Ford franchise refused. Recently, when the door fell off, the vehicle was not drive-able. The Ford ESP covered towing, but only to the nearest Ford frachise. This franchise refused to use the warranty, stating it was because they didn't sell me the vehicle! They also lied and said they submitted the claim to Ford ESP and it was denied, but Ford ESP said they never got the claim. I towed the vehicle to the dealership that sold me the vehicle. They then called the original dealership, who they work together with to screw over customers, and decided they wouldn't cover the problem either. Ford Motor Company and Ford Extended Service Plans SUCK. No more Fords in this family. GENERAL MOTORS ALL THE WAY!!!!!
