Problem getting product

I'm not sure if I'm pissed yet - I've been waiting for some shelves for a pantry from Merillat for 10 weeks. For the last four weeks, I've been told by the distributor that it was on a truck and should be delivered at the end of that week.

Four times. For a product that appears to be manufactured in the U.S.

So I'm wondering if Merillat is lying to the distributor or if he is lying to me.

Deformed and cracked drawer boxes - Merillat's Spring Valley Drawers - Refuse to provide service

Our house is new built house, 2 and half years old. Recently we found that all drawer boxes were deformed, some even are cracked.

Merillat's Spring Valley product line has warranty of 25 years. We contacted Merillat customer service, were told to send pictures, forms, and provide measurement of each drawer. After everything was sent, nothing happened for a few days. I sent an email to get update today, and were told that " defects are from misuse of the cabinetry.

It looks as though the drawers have either been stood on or hung off of or left off the track and forced open". We keep asking them to send a people in to check the defective products. They said that they will have a sales rep contact me, but nobody called me at all.

Now they made such conclusion. It seems that only way is to go to the court to straight it out.

Merillat cabinets has a policy not to accept returns or exchange product for items ordered in error Seems if you got what you ordered even if it was ordrerd by mistake their answer is go pound sand we are not exchanging it ordered cabinets in the wrong color and they will not exchange them still in original boxes unopened except for one which was opened and repacked They will sell you more cabinets but you have to eat the ones you don't want Feel like I'm being held hostage and blackmailed The company is owned by Amsco Corp.

That's the risk when you choose to DYI. You have to "eat" your own mistakes.

You ordered a color. Marillat delivered to you, the custom made cabinets in that color. You opened up one box, and decided you really didn't like that color after all.

What did Marillat do wrong? :roll

As mentioned, custom made anything, can't be returned just because of buyers remorse. Who else is going to buy all those custom made cabinets if Marillat took them back? :?

Agree with the other comments here....why should we all pay for your error....and then blame the manufacturer who did nothing wrong...really???

Why are you angry with a manufacturing plant that does not sell direct to the public....your issue should be with the store or, more importantly, yourself for making the error in the first place....

Cabinets are special order material. Special orders are not returnable, regardless of the manufacturer. You should have been told this by the dealer that sold you the cabinets.
