Dissappointed in the Service Silver Spring Mercedes Benz
I purchased my Mercedes on November 3, 2016. Someone hit my light while my car was sitting on the street, 2 months after I purchased the vehicle.
So the closest dealer from my job was Tyson Mercedes Dealer. I mentioned to them about my light, also that there was a noise in my rear brakes, and yes it was cold outside at the time. So just to be sure they checked my brakes for me. Found out from them that the front and rear breaks were worn!!!!
And they asked why did Silver Spring Mercedes sale me a vehicle with worn breaks. When I contacted Silver Spring Mercedes, they swore to me that it came from the fact the car had been sitting outside for a period of time. So I took the vehicle back to Silver Spring to have them fix the issue cause I did not feel like I had to pay 1200.00 for brakes and brake pads. I talked to the service guys, and he told me they was not under no circumstances giving me no new brakes or pads, which I thought was ridiculous!!
The told me I would have to pay for it. So I talked to the General Manager of Silver Spring Mercedes, he told me that he would have them look at the brakes and change them. Here it is February 23, and a light pops on my vehicle saying "Check Brake Lining Wear"...Please tell me why?
Cant understand why cant you be fair to folks!! #AllwaysTryingToGetOva SMDH

MB Silver Spring, MD-Poor Customer Service at Service Department
I had an appointment with MB Silver Spring at 10 AM on 28 Oct 2016 to change malfunctioning console for my 2014 ES350. They told me to bring the car back later time because they are busy.
I brought the car back at 1 PM. They said it would take 2-3 hours so they gave me a loaner car. Nobody called me for a week. I called the service dept, and they couldn't even find my car in their record.
I gave the service advisor's name and they said they will find out what's the status and let me know. Nobody called me again. I made over 10 calls and left 5 voice messages to the service advisor, but nobody called me. Today, I called and asked them what happened to my car, but they still didn't have any idea.
I was very upset and started to yell at service dept, and they found my car. They said they lost the key so nobody had any ownership of fixing my car. MB Silver Spring told my wife that they need to borrow my spare key to get access to my car and they would come to my house to pick up the key. Another 2 hours of waiting, they called and said they found the key and they are working on changing console now.
I have never heard such thing in my life. Being a long time owner of multiple MB, I have never seen such a poorly managed service department. Basically, they haven't done anything to my car for 2 weeks till I get upset and started yelling to find my car.
MB need to pay attention to this dealer and do some internal investigation of how thing department is running. Shame on you !!!!
