I can't change temperature
My 1999 ml temperature gauge would cost $2200 to repair. This is
clearly a design flaw by Mercedes and I should have temperature gauge at NO COST
Preferred solution: Price reduction
NON Mercedes Warranty sold
My wife purchased a 350ML in 3/12 and asked for a MERCEDES BENZ extended warranty. In addition we were sold a tire replacement warranty. Having relocated ; we were informed by our local MB dealer that we did not have a MB extended warranty. MB of Sacramento told us that they did not sell MB extended warranties; but used a another outside company as then then did not have to use MB authorized parts.Guess what? The actual MB extended warranty with actual MB authorized parts was over $2,400 LESS that the outside company they sell using knock off parts. The tire warranty was only good at the Sacramento location. After demanding cancellation due to NOT being sold an actual MB extended warranty as was represented by them - they tried to charge us a PRO-RATED refund instead of the amount we paid.
Checked with MB USA and MB of Sacramento and was informed MB of Sacramento does NOT sell ACTUAL Mercedes Benz extended warranties; but with a third party.
WATCH OUT YOU DO NOT PAY MORE FOR A NON FACTORY EXTENDED WARRANTY THAN FOR A FACTORY WARRANTY USING AUTHTHIC MERCEDES BENZ PARTS.
Mercedes Benz of Sacramento messed up my NEW car
In May of 2012 I decided to purchase a CLS 550 from Mercedes Benz of Sacramento, CA. After purchasing my car they convinced me to get cilajet paint protector and an interior sealant on my car.
They promised my car would look better and it would protect it. So a week after I purchased it I brought the car in for the cilajet to be put on. I thought this would improve my car however, when Mercedes returned my car to me it was in worse condition than when I purchased it. The cilajet had very noticeably been applied over water spots and bug debris and that sealed contaminants into the paint.
The creases also had compound in it. The inside of the car was done very poorly as well. It was not applied evenly and was different colors. The job looked like it was done by someone untrained for the job and lazy.
After dealing with horrible customer service they agreed to redo my car a month later. The second time when the sealant was reapplied on the outside the bug debris made the clear coat cloudy in certain areas of the car and the interior was still uneven and spotted. I dealt with more poor customer service and they brought in an outside car detailer to attempt to fix it. He managed to remove the cloudy spots in the clear coat but the cilajet had buffer marks and scratches in it!
At this point I was very frustrated and contacted the company Luxury Detail for an estimate of the repairs. Mercedes Benz of Sacramento refused to pay for any of these repairs and also refused to refund my money for the original cilajet which was done extremely poorly in the first place. The service was very expensive to begin with, about 3 times more than any other place would have charged and the quality was very poor.
I now regret purchasing from this company. I wish I would have gotten the Jaguar I wanted to get instead because I heard from various people that they value their customers a lot more.

Thanks for the input. I just purchased a new Range Rover Sport, and my dealer was trying to convince me to buy this for $1100. I was on the fence, but now I have no interest in doing it.
