Waiting for judgment from small claims court
So they conveniently charged me 10k over MSRP. It was during covid.
2 months in I noticed some rust on the roof and notified Escondido Mercedes and they did nothing.
The rust got worse and more worse until present day when after repeated communication with Escondido Mercedes they never had it repaired it even though it was covered under my Extended warranty. They wouldn't honor it. I also found out they sold me a used (not new) vehicle with 100 miles on it and 1 year old and it had been a demo at *** in *** where the rust began. Escondido never told me this but *** did.
They also never inspect the roofs on Sprinters when they come in for service or other dealerships. After the fact. The whole roof rusted thru and the under carriage had substantial rust also. Probably from a year of being outside in the sun, rain and salty air in *** with no response from Mercedes of Escondido I paid over $10,000 out of my own pocket to have the roof repaired and under carriage rust mitigated and recoated with sealer because of Mercedes of Escondidos non communication.
And then finally I had to take them and their General Manager to small claims court. I was recommended mediation where I was smuggley offered $1000 from the General manager and I countered with what it cost to repair the roof by itself a little over 8k. The GM said smuggly he would not go over 1k. I tried to honestly meditate with him and he refused so it went back to the judge where the GM lied to the judge by telling the judge he told me to contact *** manufacturing in December of 2025 and gave me their number.
He never did. He sat in his office and FaceTimed the court and totally lied to my and the judges face committing purgery. He couldn't even come and face me in court and avoided all eye contact with me through out the whole proceeding. (RED FLAG).He never contacted me ever when I left numerous messages and emails for him and their service manager since last year andkept telling me for 5 months when I could get a hold of him they were waiting to hear back from Mercedes Manufacturering.
They just kept putting me off and stalling. I called at least twice a month. The judge is now researching the case to render his decision in about a week. I hope he saw thru The GM's character and has compassion for me.
This dealership is bad news and 2 of my friends have also had warranty problems with them and had to get their warranties validated elsewhere. I wish hindsight I'd have never bought this Mercedes from them and I would strongly recommend to everyone out there looking to buy a Mercedes to avoid Escondido Mercedes at all cost. They don't represent their clients with proper integrity. I would recommend San Diego Mercedes instead.
If the judge finds on my behalf *** has come home for GM and his dealership.
Thanks Mr GM..
