Harrassment through automated notices, but unresponsive to my mails

Just don't deal with the company

Original review Jun 01, 2026
I had entered a contract with Pathrise, which was facilitated through Meratas (income verification and payment collection through Meratas, payment being dependent on my getting a job and other criteria). My contract with Pathrise ended 2 years ago, resulting in me not owing anything on the contract since the conditions were not fulfilled.

Now, more than a year after this, [PERSON_NAME] has been persistently emailing me asking me to verify my income so that payments can be processed against the contract. I have mailed them multiple times and have provided proof that I don't owe anything against the contract.

Pathrise is also not operational anymore, and I have dropped them emails regarding this as well. I see multiple reviews online where [PERSON_NAME] has done the same to other people - they are preying on recent grads that enter payment contracts with educational institutions that are contingent on them getting jobs.
TLDR: Meratas is not responding to any emails and is trying to collect money on an expired contract where no money is owed.
Cons:
  • Unresponsive customer care
  • Beliigerent emails

Preferred solution: Please sort out my account and stop sending persistent emails

User's recommendation: AVOID! Fraudulent company
