MER Vent Cleaning scams their customers.
I had this company come out and look at my air ducts.
I told my husband they were quoting us a price of $2,300. I told them I would have to the cheapest plan since I just had a baby. As the company proceed to clean my husband looked them up and found out they had a "F" rating by the BBB and are not licensed to do the work. I made them stop but foolish me paid them for the work they did (500.00).
I tried to dispute it with the credit card company.
Since I signed the receipt I lost the dispute. Next time we will do more research on companys and on products.

M.E.R. Professional Air Duct Cleaning is a scam!!!
They print a $79.00 coupon in Ad Pages, come out, tell you they've found mold and construction dust in your vents and heating unit; Point out rust on the heater coils, which I later found out was very normal and expected when condensation forms on Texas homes. The ad says they use a video camera to inspect the vents--didn't happen. The supervisors says they will disconnect the vents, remove them and clean the entire length--didn't happen. They simply vacuumed them out on both ends getting a few feet on each end, certainly not the full length.
That $79.00 quickly added up to $1300 and I was *** enough to pay it.
Not to mention, they damaged another structure in the home and refuse to pay for the expensive repairs, although they are "Bonded & Insured." Do not get ripped off by these people! They should be in prison!

Overcharged
Had duct cleaning service with dryer vent at no extra charge.
Instead of a total bill of $74 my bill came to $1700!
Convinced me that my furnace was full of "construction dust" and that it would just blow back into the rooms thru the ducts even after cleaning the ducts. My home is 3 years ols, but we had noticed some dust from the vents (that's why we called this company).
Total bill should have been $1274.40 instead of $1726.
Promised a check was in the mail to me for the difference, not received after weeks. Total scam!!!
sorry to hear that. I almost had a very similar experience with Meir (the owner of MER) but I kicked him out of my house as soon as he tried his scared tactics on me.
later, I come to find out that he is not licensed to do Air conditioning services of any kind in the state of Texas. he is not even registered in the state or the city of Dallas. also they do not have an EPA certification and they have รขโฌลFรขโฌย with the Dallas BBB
why wont you contact the Add Pages Magazine with your complaint?
they ware very helpful with consumer complaint. in the past they removed another company who used the same tactics and was not licensed nor accredited form the BBB from their Magazine after they ripped me off .(this time I donรขโฌโขt have an invoice to prove my claim. since I did not use Mer in the end)

Worst job ever!!!!
Was recently looking for a carpet cleaning service in my local ad pages. 2 came up, 1 offered 7 rooms carpet shampooed and deep cleaned For 189.00.
I only needed 4 rooms cleaned and decided to instead go with MER who said there prices would be better. I wish i could say that you get what you pay for but that would have been welcome. Not only did they do an incredibly bad job but the Price for 4 rooms of what they call "Deep Cleaning" (not shampoo) Was well over 300 dollars for four rooms of from what i can tell was nothing but a steam clean. The carpet was slightly lighter but the stains that were on the carpet remained.
I told the guy coming in that i didnt want to spend too much because i was considering new carpet anyway, he assured me that after this cleaning it would look brand new and i didnt need new carpet, but not even close.
When i expressed my disgust with the job they did all i recieved was a oh well shrug and off they went. This place is a rip-off avoid at all costs

I give this company 0 star for rating. I didn't even give them one star. Just HORRIBLE!
I used this company because I found a coupon on some ads; they did ok job but here is the catch. They said their service is backed by 10 year warranty; if anything goes wrong (i.e. if I notice the air quality goes bad again), they would take care of it like they said they would. They even said they would call us every year to make sure things would be fine. These are all lies. Don't trust what they say. Even on the paperwork says 10 year warranty, but it doesn't say what they cover.
I waited about a year to see if they called me but they never did. So I tried to call their office, but the number was disconnected so I couldn't reach them. I finally found their new number, and tried to convice them that I had a warranty. First, they said I had to call the actual service person (I don't know why even I had to call them by myself. They are the same company, so wouldn't they talk to each other inside?), so they gave me a number to call. Then, I tried that number and the guy on the phone told me the base (first place I called) would call me back. I waited for a week, but no call. So, I tried again, no call. I trtied again, no call, so I finally told them that I had been calling them and I could not get any answer or solution. They finally agreed to send someone on early Sunday morning, and they didn't even show up on time. And, I found out they were not here to clean the duct, but they said they only inspect the ducts. What they told me was the warranty is for the inspection, not for the cleaning. This is totally not what I was told when I purchased the service.
So, the sum of my story is, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Thank you for reading.

They did everything that they told me they were going to do. And yes the guy that does it is a little scary but he is very nice and has a good sense of humor :zzz and pretty cute might I add ;)

i use paradise air for air duct cleaning and i was very pleased.the came right out in a sort nodes and did what they were say they would do. the crow was nice and professional.the technician check my hvac system to make sure there no mold goring from the a/c condensation sins i have 6 years old with Esma and my wife suffer from bed allergies,but he didn't find any mold anywhere so all he recommend is $79 vents cleaning.that's parity honest to me.ill rate them 5 stars and defiantly recommend them.thank u paradise air!!! :) :)

got ripped off by Paradise Air - Professional Duct Cleaning. He told me and showed me my 2nd unit is clogged and that's why there is H2O in the pan.
When I told him that it is there to prevent to over flow, he shut up and tried another scare tactit. When I told him that $399 is too high for cleaning the complete unit he shut up again. Then when I asked why they are not cleaning the vents grills as he indicated prior to start the job. He tried to tell me that they only vac and brush.
"If my fingers can wipe off the dust then the brush and vac can clean it" He then tried to tell me it would not come off.
If I agree to the $99 package instead of $64.99 then he can do it. ARE U KIDDING ME?
BBB and consumers group should fine them and revolk their license.
got a coupon in the mail from Paradise Air Duct Cleaning. It is the exact coupon as M.E.R.
Air Duct cleaning with the same phone number. I talked to the BBB and M.E.R. has and F rating because of 10 complaints within the last 36 months with 4 of these complaints in the last year. Paradise Air has no complaints since 2004 with a A+ RATING.
How can that be.
It is the same company. I am afraid to use them
