AI Highlights
  • They went out of business suddenly with no notice.
  • I renewed for three years; they sent Sports Illustrated and would reimburse remaining issues.

They went out of business all of a sudden. They didn't contact me to let me know the situation.

I had just renewed my subscription for three more years. They started sending me sports illustrated which I did not want. I had no idea to what they were doing. I couldn't get through to mens journal so I got through to sports illustrated.

They said they would reimburse me for the remaining issues that I did not want. They handled this situation badly, for me a paying customer.

User's recommendation: Be careful of these magazine companies

CUSTOMEr SERVICE STINKS

AI Highlights
  • I got duplicates and a $1 charge for information.
  • I was duped into ordering too early.
  • The online number requires a pin.
Updated by user May 11, 2021

I can't even get to the submission part as they are asking irrelevant questions and then stopping me from proceeding.

Original review May 11, 2021

I'm receiving duplicate copies, when I tried to rectify this I was told I had to pay $1 to get information. I think i was duped into ordering too early, and this is just insult to injury.

The online number on the website will only connect if you enter a pin. I feel ripped off and will probably end up letting the subscriptions run their course, and stop ordering after 20Plus years of being a subscriber

Loss:
$10

Preferred solution: I'd like to have the subscriptions combined and the term extended instead of getting 2 per month...one in my husband's name and one in mine. It could all have been resolved if you made customer service accessible.

User's recommendation: Don't make the mistake of trying to get any deal they offer.

  • Website won't let me create an account due to server errors.
  • It keeps prompting for customer service and PIN blocks phone help.

Disappointed in the website. Couldnt set up an account.

Kept telling me to contact customer service. When I clicked on the tab, it said it couldnt find server.

Went to the web for customer service phone number. Dialed it but because I didnt have a PIN number, I couldnt go any farther.

I am calling for my nephew and am having nothing but problems. Its a shame that a company like this makes it so hard for customers trying to talk to someone

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered

  • 2nd time in 5 years: subscription accepted, no magazines or refund.
  • Spoke with Philippines rep; service poor.
  • Check #2336 cashed for $29.95 on 7/16/20.

This is the 2nd time in 5 years that you have accepted a subscription from me and sent me NO magazines and NO refund.

I just got through talking with somebody in the Phillipines who I couldn't understand, was no help and I got put on terminal hold for a supervisor, who never came on the line.

You cashed my check #2336 for $29.95 on 7/16/20.

YOU BASTARDS!!

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered

User's recommendation: Do NOT subscribe to Men's Journal, it's not that good a magazine, anyway, and they're all *** up!

  • I was billed for a magazine I didn't order.
  • I don't know how they got my credit card number.
  • This is a scam; no phone or email.

I was given, and billed for, a subscription to this magazine. I never ordered it, and I don't know how they got my credit card number.

They cannot be contacted. They don't answer their phone and no email is listed. The broker that subscribed me claimed to have no knowledge, but swears I subscribed.

They can't stop it. It's an obvious scam.
