No, we want to know about customer service too. If a company is lying about delivery dates and whether something is in stock, that affects purchasing decisions.

I was on the phone with them today, and they have hundreds of backordered hoops thanks to them importing them from China. That's just one more reason for me to buy American made.

Ordered a mega slam 60 in late June and it was delivered in 4 days. Installed it over 4th of July weekend and the kids have played on it every day.

I purchased a Mega Slam 660 Basketball Goal from Mega Slam Hoops about a month ago. They say the ship out the next day but 3 days later I call because I had not seen anything and low and behold they oversold and did not have them in-stock.

They put me on back-order and they were not very specific on a ship date. I then wait a week and decide that I am going to cancel my order and buy one from Pro Dunk Hoops instead of Mega Slam. They talked me into waiting a few more weeks. Well that has gone by and they have again pushed me out.

I have been waiting for over a month now and they still do not have them in-stock and who knows when that is going to happen. Every time I call they come up with some BS answer for the delay and I finally just canceled my order. That was a pain as well...they didn't want to do it and I basically had to threaten putting a charge back on my card to get them to return my money. Since then I have purchased a Pro Dunk Gold basketball system from Pro Dunk Hoops and I have been extremely satisfied with their customer service.

Best out there so far! Give them a call if you want a basketball system within the next year!

Just purchased our MegaSlam 60, purchased on 26 Dec and it was in our garage on 2 Jan, I attribute the small delay to the holiday. I am happy with the customer service so far, polite and quick.

Quality looks great, won't know for sure until we install it.....hopefully soon, we live in Georgia. In my research this was by far the best quality for the price, I hope that I am right. I have no doubt the team at MS will be there to provide support if necessary.

That is my 2 cents for what it's worth. Doug S.

FAKE!! Nice try pro dunk!!!

I just ordered my 60" goal from megaslam and they have amazing customer service. They even answered a question on Labor Day! I researched for months because I poured a court in my backyard and no other goal compared.

Simply the best at an amazing price for what you get!!

What happened to the comment about Pro Shot Basketball's goals and how they're the same as MegaSlam??

I find it interesting that MegaSlam is so threatened by Pro Shot. After all, Mega Slam did copy their hoops from Pro Shot's CV series

Really is sad, all of this bickering on this thread. I had a great experience with basketball goal store, but everyone should do their own research, read reviews from accredited sources, etc.

The ironic thing about this article is that it sounds like a posting by Pro Dunk or an extreme pro dunk fan, and today Pro Dunk is out of inventory on their site. It will be interesting to see how many delays Pro Dunk has for their inventory. As the saying goes, "Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones".

I just ordered from MegaSlam. I received the 672 hoop within 5 days. Everything is great.

I was considering the Megaslam for several months and each time I asked a question it was returned promptly and honestly. I sniffed at the produnkhoops as well as others at *** but finally placed my order with Matt of Megaslam.

I did inquire at the shortage time and it was no bother as I wasn't in any particular rush and understood things happen but even so it was all honesty.

Within a day I was given tracking info and my hoop will arrive within a week. I don't expect any issues as it is a professional shipping outfit but feel confident that Matt will be there should an issue arise. I am very happy so far although it's early in the process.

Slams aren't cheap but when you compare apples ro apples you get more for less money and that makes me smile. Thanks Matt,

I just order a 554 Mega Slam this week. I receive it in 3 days.

No issues. Today I opened up the boxes and put together the base portion and one of the nuts did not fit properly... I called Matt and he is going to send me out a new one this week.

Great service and looks to be a good value.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I recently ordered the MS660 and had a great experience.

Shipped out quickly and arrived in perfect condition.

I had looked into getting the Pro Dunk Gold as well, but when I compared the two head to head, the MS660 was just a bit better in several categories (gauge of steel, gussets, padding, rim, rust protection process). The Pro Dunk is still an awesome system, but I'm extrememly pleased with the MS660.

This is Michael from Mega Slam Hoops. I am the logistics manager and I am not very certain this review is valid and written by a customer vs.

a competitor. We haven't had any cancellations on the 60" model, or any customer from Alabama cancel. On our website it states if a product is in stock or out of stock. If it is out of stock the estimated shipping date is also listed.

However, because this is listed publicly, our competitors also see it as they visit our website daily.

In no way would we ever resist issuing a refund prior to the unit being shipped due to a back-order. We would process the full refund within the same business day and email the receipt.

We have the best customer service and response times in the industry.

We respond to emails 365 days a year including nights and weekends, and return all phone calls the same day, or the following morning as we do not like to call and disturb customers late in the evening.

We were the fastest growing basketball manufacturer of 2013 and 2014 is even stronger. It is true we ran out of inventory for a few weeks on the 60" model, but we let our inventory deplete on purpose. We had to clear everything out while we expanded and improved our capacity.

We tried to time it so we would be low on inventory for only 1 week, but the sales were much stronger than we forecasted. We strategically made this decision to allow ourselves to be in a better position to meet demand moving forward. We are restocked on all products at this time. Within the next 60 days we will continue to add inventory, and at that time we will be confident the shortages should be cured and minimized as we continue on this growth curve.

Every manufacturer in this industry has run out of inventory at one time. Even gorilla has run out for months at a time for specific models. We are not exempt from this but have made changes to our infrastructure to minimize this moving forward.

It's unfortunate the internet is full of misinformation and anyone or any competitor can write a review impersonating a customer.

The more successful we become the more motivating it will be to post false reviews to try and deter business from us. Becoming the market leader has put a target on our back.

Michael, I was thinking the same thing when I read the original complaint as soon as I saw a plug for a competitor hoop (pro dunk).

At any rate, I'm getting ready to order the 672 system for my 11 year old son. He can't wait!

Based on what I have researched so far the MegaSlam XL system seems to be the best on the market. I don't see a Goalrilla system that compares, and th XL is currently cheaper in price.

Unless I missed something, I just don't (vs.

DC72E1) see buying a lesser system for more money. I will be purchasing a XL system within the next few weeks hopefully, with pictures to follow.
