I received a defective product that almost ruined my brand new mattress. They expect me to pay to ship this defective pillow back to them before I can get a refund

Been buying Medillow Pillows for Many Yrs! After the ''Modificarion' of the Pillow with the sewn in center that holds the water, I have developed a Terrible Algae-stinky smell throughout my pillow!
.I am a single responsible Senior with my Pillow UNDER WARRANTY.
Within a Yr of having my former/current Pillows I am dutyfull in changing the water even TWICE--a Yr. to keep my Pillows!
I was told to add a tsp.
of Bleach to the water & refill it. Guess what? The smell is still there, AS THE COVERING CASE STILL HOLDS THE SMELL--OF ALGAE OR SOME GROWTH IN THERE.
IT SHOULD NEVER OF OCCURED, AFTER FOLLOWING C.SERVICE DIRECTION TO FIX THE PROBLEM. ODOR IS ON MY BOTTOM SHEET OF HEAD SPACE ON THE BED, & UPPER BLANKET BY HEAD.
I NEVER EVER---have had this ISSUE--BEFORE WITH MEDIFLOW.
C.S. HOWEVER,WILL BE CONTACTED YET AGAIN FOR A REPLACEMENT AS THEIR EITHR IS A PINHOLE SOMEWHERE, OR--THE CENTER WATER SOMEHOW IS CREATING THIS SMELL NO MATTER HOW I CARED FOR THEE PILLOW ITSELF. I'M CALLING MEDIFLOW TODAY TO HONOR MY WARRANTY--$$$& MONEY SPENT, AS I HAVE SPENT PLENTY OF MY PILLOWS PRIOR. AGAIN, THE SMELL SHOULD NOT OF OCCURED DUE TO MY CARE.
THE SMELL ACTUALLY IS PICKED UP ENTERING MY BEDROOM---WHICH IS VERY CLEAN & KEPT.
...THE BLEACH DID NOTHING--AS THE SMELL IS STUCK IN THE PILLOW COVERING --THAT CANNOT BE TAKEN OFF OR WASHED & HAS NO ZIPPER.
DO THE RIGHT THING HERE, FOR A GOOD CUSTOMER & RE-VISIT YOUR DESIGN & ISSUE i AM HAVING

Mediflow Water Pillows
I have had a Mediflow Water Pillow for two months, and for two months a moldy odor has come from the pillow fabric and permeated my bedding underneath the pillow. The company told me to change the water and when I did --- no mold odor came from the contained water.
The moldy odor was on the outside of the back fabric. As to washing the pillow --- this was nearly impossible, as the pillow floated to the top of the washing machine and no amount of squishing it down would kept it submerged. The spin cycle nearly broke my machine, so I had to keep opening the machine to squeeze water out of the pillow. It has to be air dried as heat will damage the pillow.
So drying took an hour machine air drying then a day outside in the sun. The Mediflow Water Pillow was a great to sleep on.
Too bad the moldy fabric and complicated washing made it a bad product for me. If you like quality odor-free fabrics and easy care, the Mediflow Water Pillow is not a good choice.

I am experiencing the SAME issue as this customer! The MAN in customer service won't honor my warranty on file, as I cannot pack up/pay postage a smelly pillow, as I'm home with Covid for thee 2nd time, and cant go to all that work....at this time.
Long time customer, -- can't stand this Algae smell as well! Hope he does the right thing, & 1. solves the problem, (i also took his suggestions for smell, but it did NO good. 2.
Honors my warranty--& I can send it later when I can get well.
Frustrated with with the so called change/betterment of the pillow design. :( MAC
