Medieval Collectibles took my money but I never got the items...

This is the first bad review I've ever written. I spent nearly $500 on 3 items. Two of the items apparently fell out of the box in shipping. The company told me they would not replace the items or refund the money. They didn't even offer a replacement discount. They said they would file a claim with the UPS on my behalf. It's been over a month and I've heard nothing from UPS or the company. The bottom line is Medieval Collectibles took my money for products I never received. They left me hanging in the wind. I would not risk dealing with this company. There are many others out there.

I'd ordered some items as a gift with two of them showing out of stock and shipping in 3-5 days which was acceptable since I didn't need them for 3 weeks. 2 weeks later no update and when calling was told that the shipment was late and the order would ship the next day. Two days before I need the items I call again and am told that the order hadn't shipped and that if I wanted them by the target date I'd have to pay for overnight shipping. TLDR - Two and a half weeks to fill a (stated) one week back order and then told to pay for overnight shipping if I wanted my items on time.

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!

This company is HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!!! They have had my money for 3 months now and I have yet to receive my order! Everything I attempt to order is out of stock. I finally found some things that were not out of stock and according to the web site it said they would ship them in 5 - 7 business days - that was a month ago. They charged my credit card as soon as they got my order knowing their items were out of stock. I am BEYOND FRUSTRATED with this company and now that is it March I am still trying to get the Christmas presents I ordered.

Impressive

I spent HOURS online trying to find pieces of clothing to complete the look for my costume. I was alarmed by how few companies specialize in the look/feel i was going for. After stumbling across medieval collectibles, i decided to take a chance of these guys. I have to say, I'm more than impressed. Shipping was fast and easy, and the quality was absolute perfection. My biggest reservation was a quality product for the price point of the items. My expectations were more than exceeded. I could not be happier with my purchases. Medieval Collectibles had everything I was looking for to complete my look. I also spoke with Dee who was very kind and courteous over the phone. I will continue to buy from here and encourage others to do the same.

Products never arrived

In January 2015 I ordered steampunk clothing for a film. We moved to Virginia from Hollywood. The girl who took my order said 3 to 4 weeks. This time frame was ok because we had time to spare. However. I called after 30 days and 60 days and 90 days. Person said one item had been discontinued. I said were you going to let know or just keep the money and say nothing. We are now in the moth of April 22 2015. I called and a lame girl answered I asked for a manager. At this point the manager says the second item I have been waiting for is discontinued. I had been told it was shipping to them for me. Never happened. My concern is they show on website and sales people sell I don't think they ever get product. The manager told me customers wait years for the product. I asked not me I want the clothing now. Something is wrong with the lack of customer service. They take the money right away never contact the client and never tell client product is not available until months and many phone calls later. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Dress was poor quality

There are hundreds of negative reviews about this place, mostly concerning shipping on time. I decided to give them a chance and I ordered the ONLY size and color dress i wanted they had in stock- the Kathryn Chemise from medieval collectibles. I wasn't willing to trust them to deliver to me before my event. The dress made it here exactly on time and the order was correct. However, It was horribly cheap material. The dress was very expensive ($89) and it felt like it was made of the same cheap stiff fabric they make hospital scrubs out of. It doesn't hang right and the skirt doesn't move at all. I would very much love to return it and get my money back, but they only offer store credit and i'll be darned if i want any more of their over-priced ***. i offer this review because while i fell in love with the picture they had of the dress, i could find a single review about the quality of their products. I hope this helps some other hapless customer to not make the same mistake i did.

Failed to Follow up and Ship

Do not order anything from these people. They do not meet there shipping obligations and hence it will be late for the holidays. The time period for delayed shipping from supplier was not checked on and has exceeded the shipping time stated. Hence, Bernadette will be missing a gift for a couple of weeks. They made no effort to follow up or update the status on this order. I called and they checked with their supplier and said that it would ship to them in about 2 weeks to them and then to us. It is two days before christmas and they already have had 2 weeks. LB
