AI Highlights
  • - Prednisone 50mg instead of 5mg caused low BP and abnormal WBC.
  • - Pharmacist attitude; taper 50mg and arrange blood work and BP check.

I am a kidney transplant recipient and this pharmacy had me on 50mg of prednisone instead of the 5mg I was supposed to be on! My blood pressure is low because of it and also my white blood cell count is off.

When I called to tell them about their mistake, the pharmacist gave ME an attitude. Now, I have to he weaned down off of the 50mg, get blood work done, and watch my blood pressure. What if this would have been an older person? You could have killed someone by not making sure you give them the correct medicine!

You better hope my transplant is okay. Thanks, Medicap.

You should check everything multiple times so you don't get sued. Just a thought.
