We have been trying to work with NS & M since March of 2018 for a new wheelchair for our wheelchair bound daughter. They would schedule an appointment to deliver a demo chair and then never show up. When they finally showed up with a chair it was the wrong chair, our...

I had to use National Seating and Mobility due to insurance. My daughter was so young when I got her first wheelchair and I didn't know what she needed. The chair she was place in was never right for her and never comfortable. The tech. at National gave us the chair...

I'm afraid I'll get the one delightful employee at National Seating I've had the pleasure speaking with, without a long transfer and hold...in trouble, if I write about her having gotten back to me each time I had concerns. I hope she wasn't just a "BUFFER, "...
Apria - Cheap equipment terrible Field Service no Communication
by sjoefl01 #9474301.5
My sister in law got one of their cheap wound vac machines. It broke within 2 hours.
We called and it took almost 3 days for them to get a part to us. They had us go to the emergency room and get the machine removed. The guy is about 40 miles away and he wouldn't make the drive. Instead he promised for 2 days and then shipped Fedex which arrived too late for the doctors appointment.
By the time the home health care people come it will be at least 4 days without a wound vac.
Be sure to go to your local medical supply rental places so you can drive up in front and go in. Don't depend on this pseudo company with the $25 telephone system that never answers.

Apria - Charged for equipment we were never able to use!
by PissedConsumer840407 #8404071.0
If I could give them a -10, I would! my wife had surgery and needed a wheelchair.
The first one came and the foot supports were broken. so they had to order another one. It turned out that we needed a reclining wheel chair, which took forever to receive, which is understandable since they are not too common. When THAT wheelchair came, the foot supports were wrong, and again they had to order new ones.
by the time these ones arrived, we no longer needed the wheelchair. when we called to have it picked up, we mentioned that my wife was going to have to have surgery in a couple of months, and the person on the phone said that we should "just keep it until you need it again". so it sat in our garage.. I decided that i didn't want it in our garage, and our deductible started over, so I took it the local office.
The didn't even have it in their system!!! (I guess I could have kept it!). the local office staff said that I should also 'hang onto it' until we needed it... hmmm..
sounds familiar? a week later, I received a bill from them for $200! $200 for a wheel chair we were never able to use, and that they said for us to 'keep it until it we needed it later"! Ridiculous!
I contested the bill (the local office even agreed we shouldn't have to pay this bill since we were never able to use the wheelchair). the first person who reviewed the bill simply replied "we agree with the bill".. I again contested and asked for the supervisor to review. I received an email saying "we agree with the charge".
I then asked the local district manager to review, and he said the he doesn't have the authority to reverse a bill (but he does have the authority to not get the equipment we need and to approve billing for it!. I'm not one who is trying to get out of paying for something that we used, but this is not the case! we were never able to use the wheelchair, and I"m sure, they invoiced insurance and were paid for this wheelchair!!! the people who can make decisions simply hide behind emails and respond "I agree with the bill".
amazing.. how are these people in business? My wife will have to have 2 more surgeries, and I can guarantee that Apria will NOT get my business.
I find it interesting that 2 different offices told my wife to "keep it until we need it later" without ever mentioning that we will be charged!
