My wife, who died 5 January 2018, had an oxygen concentrator from Apria. In Feburary or March of that year, I returned it. Today, 2 March 2019, I got a letter from Apria saying that my insurance company is denying their bills. Which is understandable, since (1) they got...
Apria - Daylight robber and very poor customer service
by ImpeccableTiger #14552871.7
Very greedy and unprofessional company. After a hospital visit my wife was sent home with an Rx for a rental wheelchair delivered from Apria.
To make a long story short they converted the wheelchair rental to a sale without our consent and charged the insurance company 600$ for it (you can buy same model at eg. walmart for about 150$). We actually wanted to return it because the model don't fit our needs but Apria refuse to take it back since they converted it to a sale. Our copay came out to roughly 130$ which I refuse to pay because I never asked for a purchase.
Now they are sending collection agencies after me and I reported them to BBB. I already tried negotiating with them but they refuse to acknowledge even the slightest error.

My wife & I were prescribed CPAP machines. Got them in 12/17 under our insurance plan, insurance paid for rental until 2/18 when it was converted to a purchase. Apria submitted to the insurance company for coverage and payment. It took until 10/18 for Apria to get...

My wife has used their sleeping unit for several years and last year we canceled the order as she can no longer wear the face mask. They keep shipping her supplies and billing us. Very disreputable company. Do not buy from them. We will hire an Attorney if this...

This company is so dishonest! It took me 4 months to get my cpap. Then in Sept 2018 I changed insurance. Apria took it upon themselves to just start new billing again... on a used machine, like it was brand new. Saturday morning, the 2nd of December 2018, immediately...
Apria - Billed for services my insurance company says i do not owe.
by UnlawfulGiantSchnauzer880 #1437850
I paid my ins. deductible and yearly out of pocket expenses for the year.
My insurance company sends me E.O.Bs stating that I owe nothing to this provider. Apria keeps sending me bills anyway and threatens to turn me over to a collection agency if I don't pay them. You call Apria and they send you to several different departments. None of them know anything, they just waste your time and transfer you to someone else that knows nothing.
After 2 hours you just hang up from frustration not knowing anything more than before you called.
If you need c-pap supplies I strongly suggest you run not walk to some other provider. These people will rip you off in the blink of an eye and not care one bit.
