Originally I agreed to body work and fixing the cars limp mode turbo issue for up to $1000 verbally and a handshake Norman called to say the car was done but inspection was coming up and would need struts in order to pass, this raised the bill cap to $1500 verbally by phone. I would have never agreed to inspection and struts if I had known the original turbo was not resolved as promised. He claimed on more than 1 occasion that the turbo problem was resolved. The reason he had it so long is I was waiting for him to resolve the turbo problem and he was researching and or asking other specialists for help. This process continued for almost a year, where every few weeks I called to check on the progress. Each time a different excuse of troubleshooting and diagnostics. See screenshots of my phone calls Asked him to add details about the turbo repair/troubleshooting to invoice, but the invoice was crafted so the fees were not related to turbo. Picked up car 7/31,where I had Norman do a 2 minute test drive with me. We proceeded up a hill and within a minute the check engine light and reduced power lights displayed (the turbo problem). I also pointed out multiple new scratches/scuffs on the car and he said it was not a surprise due to my car being at his lot for so long. I disputed the check same day, when I got home. I came to pick up the car but the turbo limp mode was not fixed as agreed, the problem is worse than when we started. Also my air intake filters were not reinstalled. My bmw also sustained minor damages while on his lot to the rear bumper (scratches) and the rear quarter panel has a new ding. I contacted my insurance company because I was unable to contact Meanor Auto shop after multiple attempts. Unfortunately he does not have a parking lot so the vehicles are parked on both sides of a single lane rock driveway leading to his shop. See attached quote After picking up my vehicle I contacted Balzer Motor Works in Canonsburg who was able to resolve the turbo lag issue in just a few days time.
