Outrageous. Call the Better Business Bureau and them. A class action lawsuit is in store. The business practices of GR are shady at best. They use well-known and trusted celebrities to hawk this junk, then make it impossible to cancel or receive a refund. FREE TRIAL MY *** They are stealing money, and we need to call them out on their criminal business practices. And shame on Cindy Crawford. She has publically stated that she received cosmetic procedures including Botox. She is using the trust people have in her to take advantage of people who simply want to look a little younger.

The infomercial itself is misleading. The so-called youth guru comes out as if he has found the secret to aging. We are to believe he walks through the south of France looking at melons, and found one that didn't decompose as fast as another. Yeah right. I'd like to see the proof on that claim. And the melon extract is supposed to contain a magical serum that will help fight aging, reduce wrinkles, and make everyone look amazing. If that were the case, it would be the biggest news in the medical community. Ever. But apparently only HE has the secret melons...c'mon. He presents himself as someone who caters to celebrities only, and has line stretching around the earth just to make appointments. Reality check. He is a greedy man who takes advantage of insecure women. Google him. He was known as the BOTOX doc, not the youth guru.

It sickens me that this kind of scam is endorsed by Cindy, Valerie, etc. The product ingredients do not even contain ingredients that are proven effective in reversing fine lines. It is simply a skin care cleanser and moisturizer, that if used routinely will make the skin slightly softer and more plump because it causes the skin to retain water. You can get the same product at any drug store over-the-counter. It's a moisturizer. Olay does a better job.

I think the false claims of the product, coupled with the fact that there is no FREE anything about it, are more than enough grounds for a lawsuit.

Then the youth guru will be shown for what he is, and Cindy will be forced to admit in open court that she has had cosmetic surgery / procedures that have helped her looking young.

You have every right to be pissed, and should follow up with threats of revealing this for what it is: greedy scam that preys on trusting women.

Best of luck to you!!

Meaningful Beauty review in Los Angeles, California: Continued billing after return

I ordered this product once and the initial order was billed twice through paypal which i immediately fixed. I also got two shipments and returned one as soon as it arrived. But, I got a third shipment within one week of the first two and was billed for that. I immediatley called them to tell them i was returning and they said fine. Ever since i've been getting letters for payment of $49.95 for an item i returned. I called Meaningful Beauty 3 times to fix and they told me each time that their computers were down and for me to call back... now i'm getting collection letters. To top it all off, the product sucks and made me break out after first use. Worst experience.

This is the exact same thing happening to me and its frustrating cos they sent a letter about collection for a product I haven't received. This is ridiculous.

Meaningful Beauty review in Hicksville, New York: Return Policy

I ordered the product after I saw all the good reviews on their website. I tried it for 60 days and I didn't think it was better than my previous Lancome products. When I received my new ordered, I called customer srcs. for instructions on how to return it and when would I get my refund and basically they said if you don't keep the kit (for which they would give me a 20% discount), it would take 4-6 weeks! for them to return my money even though they would receive the kit in a matter of a week or couple of weeks tops. Obviously not what I expected from meaningful beauty since their adds makes it sound as though you would have a very smooth refund of your money if you aren't pleased with the products... In another note, the customer service rep. talked so fast that I could barely understand her. She sounded as if she was reading from a script (which she probably was), and when I told her that I couldn't understand what she was saying, she started to talk veeeeeery slooooowly as if I was and *** who couldn't understand the language...

Meaningful Beauty

I ordered the product from a tv ad. The order taker never told me it was small amounts of their products they were sending me and I would have to purchase their product every month. Also they did not tell me that if I was not satificed I would have to pay for postage back. When I called they said that all the information was on the back of the invoice that they send me with my purchase, are you kidding, you have to actually receive the products in order to get the correct information. Total rip off-never again!!!!!

Meaningful Beauty not as advertized

I ordered the 30-day trial after watching the TV infomercial. Used it, liked it and then ordered the 90-day system along with some additional items. Was told even though they state on the website that Preferred Customers can customize their kit, their customer service told me that despite it being a Canadian website I was ordering off of, Canadian Customers are not allowed to change the content of their kit. They have to take the basic kit as is, either the 30 or 90-day system, and then any additional items you want will be billed & shipped separately. So much for being able to "customize" your system. I call that false advertising. I've cancelled my account as of July 16/13 with Kimberly who was not very polite and asked that they not send me any more automatic shipments. After reading these reviews, I'm nervous they will continue to bill me.

I tried and tried to cancel my Meaningful Beauty membership; finally I just cancelled my credit card. That seems to be the only way to deal with these snarky companies.

A couple of thoughts:

1. Never, ever use a debit card when ordering online or just about anywhere. As you have discovered, once they debit your account, you are out the money and getting it back can be next to impossible. Always use a credit card. With a credit card you can dispute the charge and not have to pay it till they make the order right.

2. Most products sold via a television ad are cheaply made, do not last and are over-priced. Never do this. You can find "ad seen on TV" products at stores like Meijer, WalMart, etc. I am seeing them more and more.

3. I suspect when you ordered this junk you were automatically enrolled in a monthly/periodic shipment of more of the junk. Watch your bank balance for any charges next month. Even if they send the stuff you just ordered, you may find charges for auto orders each month. If so and you don't want them, either contact the company and cancel---which they may not do for a while, if ever as they have your debit card/bank info---or contact your bank and tell them fraud is suspected and you need a totally new account and card. Or, better yet, get a credit card and destroy that debit card.

4. This is how we learn.

Meaningful Beauty review in Baldwin, Maryland: Cancelled and they still charged my accont

I cancelled the Meaningful Beauty account back in March and spoke to a really nice gal. Thought everything was done. I even paid up the remaining money that was billed to me. Well in June they sent another box. Called again and spoke to a very nice woman named Melissa who said "Oh, I see you called back in March and cancelled. I will take care of this. I will also mail you a label to return the box and credit your bank account." Great.. I thought. So, 2 weeks later I am still waiting for this label. So I call AGAIN and speak with a VERY rude man named Tom who said " I CLAIMED to cancel back in March" CLAIMED??? WTF! Obviously he did not know how to deal with customers or read. He was very rude and said he would refund the remaining money to my account since they shorted me the shipping and handling of 9.99 and the label takes 2-3 weeks and then he rudely said "thank you for calling meaningful beauty...blah blah" to get me off the phone. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! Go to Ulta or Macys and get a good product or even Sephora!

Thank you for your review. I was thinking of buying this product but now I won't.

Too many people are unhappy with MB.I make it a practice to search out reviews before buying anything online. It has saved me alot of time and money :)

I canceled my card so they going to charge just the f. $45,00. Guys... I just did the same mistake. I understood that if I called than to cancel it's going to be easy. I tried to call my bank to cancel. They told me that's impossible. But I had an idea. I canceled my card so they going to charge just the f. $45,00. I know that still bad but.. It was better than loose more. For me at least I learned to always look at the reviews before. I'm very *** sometimes. Thank you! Let's be more smart that is no way to be youth forever :(
