Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty

I bought a set of beauty products via a tv ad. I was told by the rep that I could get a free 7 piece set if I ordered in a certain time frame. I got the supplies, didn't care much for them, and sat them on a shelf. Subsequently, I received 2 more bills from them, for a grand total of almost $150. My original quote was less than $50. The supervisor insisted that I misunderstood, but I was scammed. He offered to refund the 3rd $46 payment, but talked to me like I was an *** who was incapable of understanding their terminology. I wonder if Cindy Crawford knows that she's making millions off a crooked operation!

Meaningful Beauty's Horrible Customer Service

My first time ordering from Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford and I was absolutely mortified by there service. Before even receiving the product I had cancelled the order due to customer service negligence. I order the product and enrolled in the monthly payment plan, two weeks later my product has not arrived and so I call customer service, NIGHTMARE! They had the wrong town and zip code and wrong spelling of my name,(mind you I repeated my information with the rep 3 times when I first called) they accused me of receiving the creams and said I need to sign an affidavit, what the ***?? then they charge me again, (twice), still no product! Mortified!!! and never even tried this product. The manager named Jamie was even worse. I felt no remorse from her disposition. I have never in my life experienced such bad customer service. I cancelled my enrollment before even receiving the creams (unbelievable) due to such horrible service. I recommend to stay away from this service, although the creams might work, their customer service employees are uneducated and just simply have no sales techniques.

I have been getting Meaningful Beauty for over 7 years and never had a problem with customer service until December of 2011.....a 90 days supply was shipped but I never received it.......when I called I was told that they would send an affidavit and ship out another 90 days supply...it took 1 month to get both of them.....I had to call when it was time for the next 90 days supply because they made my account inactive because they credited my account too much and gave me too many free products....well guess what it happened again today....they made my acccount inactive...called customer service spoke with mary told me I was no longer a customer and that I had to start all over and that the prices I used to get in my kit were no longer valid...I blew up and told her give me a supervisor......spoke with Doug told me that he will get this fixed and will send out a 30 days supply for the $19.95 and then restart my 90 kit the way it was.....I am hoping that this actually happens and that I don't have to get back on the phone with customer service they are the worst and not helpful at all...asked since they had my email address why not let me know that my account was inactive again because of too many credits and free products!!! If there is a screw up again I will stop using the products and contact will write a Guthny Renker!!!

Yes, they do have horrible customer service. I called last month to cancel my account and I was assured the account would be cancelled.

I checked my account today and they charged me for more merchandise. I also returned the merchandise from last month and they have not reimbursed me as of yet.

Meaningful Beauty & their lousy customer service

I've been a customer of meaningful Beauty for about 2 years on & off. I ordered their 7 piece trial order and paid upfront. I cancelled any and all shipments that may come after this as I do not wish to participate in those auto-ship programs. After having items sent to me on more then one occasion I stopped all service and even cancelled my card. Now the products are nice, I'm not going to go as far as saying the best but their customer service and greed put them at the bottom of my list by far. I have ordered and paid for items from them a few times yet each and every time I get the high pressure sales tactic to try any and all products or new programs available. I state to them in no uncertain terms not to enroll me in any program or auto-ship system. Now after 4 months I start seeing multiple charges to my account, to a card that has been cancelled and after 3 sworn affidavits they still refuse to fix the issue. I am now working with my bank to recover my 300+ $'s and doing my best to advise anyone who wishes to try a great company with great products to try Hydraxatone for facial care and Keranique for hair care. They have the best products and customer care. They don't have all these loops to jump through and they are never disrespectful or greedy. Cindy Crawford must be hurting now that her mole isn't the most desired thing on the planet and she is now a greedy money grubber like the rest of the has beens.

:sigh I ordered the 7 piece deluxe kit and I only got some of the products. I called the 24/7hr number and I got someone overseas who had a horrible English accent.

Couldn't understand him and he couldn't comprehend what I wanted. I was missing two of the items and two of the free gifts.

I purposely ordered the 7 piece deluxe kit online so that this kind of mistake wouldn't happen and it still did. :(

Good Luck their Customer Service is horrible, I sent product back and have been trying to get a refund since September. So going into my fourth month.

I will never again buy another product form Guthy-Renker and I will spread the word to all of my friends to not ever order something from this Company. I, as a Customer should not be treated this way nor should I have to fight this hard to get my money back.

Guthy R

Dear Balloondoggie,

You can return the product, within 60 days, for a full refund. Kindly contact our Corporate Customer Service Escalation Team at customerservice@***y-renker.com for further assistance.

Thank you.

Similar experience here. My wife ordered the trial, then cancelled it in April 2011.

In October a new box magically appeared along with a $47 charge on 27 Oct 11. She called and was told that the notes on the account stated that she only suspended service for 6 months. Today there's another $40 charge on the card from 25 Nov 11 and no product.

This stinks like theft. Stay away.

Meaningful Beauty

Pay attention to before and after pictures of not just Cindy in the commercial but any other product lines companies are pushing to sell, pay close attention to the first picture, the hair is usually lifeless/dull..no color in the cheeks, light lipstick...second picture Cindy's hair has more color/shine..blush, more lipstick...this is what the public pays attention to. So the next time you see a commercial for any FACE products, check out the before and after...AND folks be sure before you whip out that visa, check on line for complaints, as I did here. Before you buy ANYTHING, call the customer service NUMBER FIRST see what kind of so called service you will or will not get. Where the product is to be returned if need be, once a LOT OF these companies gets your visa number, they will keep charging your card month after months, they do this knowing someone will forget to cancel, or not go through the hassle to get your money back, they will make you want to give up by running you through the mill to get it back, knowing this, you imagine how much money they get to keep of anyone that called in, no product and they have your money and your credit card...be smart people, remember once some one/company gets your money it is going to be next to impossible to get back in some cases. They will put you on hold, or tell you, you have to wait, or we did give a refund (knowing they didn't) outsourcing (you can't understand them and give up)the list goes on....

Also, when these companies gets a hold of your credit card, you decide and call to cancel any future orders, they keep charging your card, you cannot get rid of them....

Guest

I am in a similar situation where I was autoshipped and charged when they had said that I would be informed before the auto ship. I returned their product with their return label and 3 weeks later I have been charged $160 and they are telling me that they did not get my return box and that it is passed their 60 day return policy.

Guest

Where will your recipe be posted and when?

Guest

I agree. While I haven't ordered anything online in past 10 years due to the billing fraud these companies use, here's some info for those of you who do order: Do NOT ever use your debit card to order.

Buy a set-limit gift card at Walmart or a convenience store. OR get a reloadable card and put on it ONLY the amount you wish to be charged. This way you foil these fraudsters attempts to keep billing. :grin Also, I'm working on a home-made type skin recipe for myself and if I find it improves my skin I'll post for FREE on the internet at some point.

I use food products for some of my facial concoctions & they're effective!

I'm 43, still get carded & have been told I look like I'm 30. You don't need Cindy's expensive products, try some natural skin care instead!

Meaningful Beauty Practices Suck

I purchased the little trial size of this Cindy product. It was horrible for my face I broke out and had to go to the doctor. I no longer wanted to use the product. So, when the larger pack came I mailed it back. However, the customer service says it was later than the time allotted. I say differently, but can not prove. Anyway, I have been getting notices from a collection agency bc the company did not tell me they did not accept the return. However, get this, they did not send the products back. So, I now am fighting with a collection agency who I think is just there company saying. I owe this money and I don't even have the horrible product. I asked for them to return it. I am going to try to hock it on EBAY to those few that might like it. If they would have sent a notice saying they product was not accepted, I could have avoided the entire issue. The product might work for some. However, what *** me off is the horrible practices. Cindy needs to realize her precious product practices is hurting women. But, my guess is that many are returning unopened packages because of the price and non working of the product that they have to make money. I would think very carefully before purchasing this product. They do not tell the truth on nonopened returns. Any store allows unopened returns. I will give them my business.

Meaningful Beauty- terrible customer service and deceptive on trial size and day covered

Customer serice - rejected emails even though solicited and a link offered. The link does not work. Deceptive sizes and it is really not a 30 day offer and comparing the oz vs ml of 1 or 3 month kits is impossible The service department is really just to order they are unable to do anything or answer anything. If the products worked I would still not ever contractually work with this company ever again. No one should. I think that you can better educate yourself and get excellent products at a counter where service matters. Even a CVS is better.

Cindy Crawford Schemes

I applaud whole heartedly on all of the customer representatives and Cindy Crawford also since she connects her name with this company how to scams hard working people out of their money. First of all, please note that once you have set up the account and gave your credit card information, the only way to stop the continuous unauthorized bill payments charged on your credit card is to cancel your credit card all together. Second, once you purchase the 39.95 S&H one time, it will keep on being delivered without your permission, but wait! You will be billed in three separate payments for it for that one product YOU DID NOT order. Third, your account that you created will still be on file for a year and will be used for their own "records" and will not be deleted. Fourth, your refund will take 4-6wks while still getting billed at the same time for the product that automatically appeared in your mailbox BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT with them. This is how Cindy Crawford and Meaningful Beauty decides how to rip off the AMERICAN people from their hard earned money because we thought as customers that the product is something we might like. Your buisness will represent itself and there are many fustrated customers like me who has to deal with this and unfortunately our ultimatum is to close our credit cards account for you to not reap the benefits from us. You played on our stuipidity and ignorance in order to get rich. I congradulate you that there are loop holes within the system for you guys to get away with this. Dupe us from the start, deal with the whole mess later.

I was charged 2 charges one for 65.00 and one for 59.00, for which I did not order. They told me, no worries it is canceled out.

In the meantime my card is holding this amount. Watch these people. I would go as far to buy a prepaid card, so they can't rip you off.

My friend was continually sent a new package every month, and she didn't even care for the product. Truthfully, Avon works just as good.

Meaningful Beauty - monthly payment scam

I have used ALL kinds of products and thought I would try out Cindy's stuff. Sounded affordable, but it is NOT.

They want you to be a "member, which means they figure out a way to make you pay just a little each month. The introductory 39.95 thing is only one payment of MANY. I called and asked to only choose certain products, to simply order when I need them and just pay at that time (like a NORMAL business), but doing that disqualifies me as a member and I have to pay more. RIPOFF!!

See ya Cindy, I much prefer paying more money for products with real science, who don't make me belong to some club. Any company who sells through Guthey Renker has this same issue. They try to distract you with low monthly payments and never focus on exactly WHAT you are getting for a specific amount of money. Besides that, the products are just so-so.

Prolly just barely superior to Avon's line of drug store products and certainly nowhere in the same class as Dr. Perricone or Murad or Fresh or Keihl's.

I agree, same thing happened to me.I realized that the same product they were advertising at $39. is really costing $93.

and change. But they are so sleek with advertisement that they make it seem you were only paying $39. Gave them a piece of my mind, my money got refunded, and ended up having the products for free, which by the way has been seating in my cabinet for the past year. I'm so pissed at them that I don't even want to use their ***.

Now I'm a Dr Perricone girl, yes it is expensive, but a little goes a long way. And I'm worth it.If not in myself whom should I invest in? have no kids....yet. I'm mostly doing the supplements that he recommends in his book: "Ageless Face, Ageless Mind".

My results are so great that I went from wearing heavy foundation and powder to conceal acne scars, to a smooth even complexion, and no make up at all unless I WANT to. Of course it is in combination withr a high protein low cab.

diet, and going to the gym 5 times a week. All I can say is that I'm pleased.

Guest

WAY too much money for WAY too little product! You have to be a celebrity to be able to afford it.

Frankly, I think Olay Regenerist works better. When I just called to cancel, they hassled me and said I needed to give the product longer to work.

I said I would if I could afford to. Had no idea the bottles that came would be teeny-tiny!

Meaningful Beauty rip off

I ordered Meaningful Beauty and the product made me break out. I canceled my account and they continued to charge my account for 2 orders I never placed OR even received! When trying to contact their customer service they ignore my complaint about charging my account and just keep telling me I am past the 60 day trial. I did not even receive a product to return! I am in the process of disputing the money with my bank. This company is a scam and I would high recommend that you don't give them your account number. Shame on your Cindy Crawford....some people will do anything for money. Don't do it!!

Yes, I so agree!! This is a horrible product!

I returned it and no refund. Called and canceled now I get letters saying I owe them money. I don't have this product and paid for the trial samples that were awful. Now, I am being harrased for more money.

Pathetic!!

Please do not do business with this company. I have contacted my lawyer, the better business bureau and of course they are going on Angie's list as a definite no!!

Meaningful Beauty - Thiefs!

Do not purchase Meaningful Beauty - they will not let you cancel. They will not refund your money. They cannot be contacted by phone you only get recordings and push buttons. They will continue to try to sell you stuff. They say 60 day return policy but it can take up to 6 weeks for processing. I have called and canceled 13 times with the automated service. I have cancelled to a human 3 times. They tell me that they have never received a call. They tried to charge me another $59. Do not purchase. Do not purchase. Do not purchase.

Misleading the Consumers

Additional complaints should be and will be made to the Better Business Bureau. There is a total lack of knowledge and information left out of the script read to consumers that are taking their time to purchase a product that is overpriced and a Customer Service that is Non-Existent. When you call to order the trial package, as advertised, you will be asked if you would like an additional piece for less than $10. HANG UP, DO NOT PASS GO, YOU WILL NOT COLLECT ANYTHING OF BENEFIT TO YOU!! They did not inform me that this meant that there will be future charges to your credit card which would total approximately $150, of which will be for a 3 month supply. NO....Instead the representative tells me it is for a 1 month supply and assures me that there will be no more charges to my account, just the $60 I agreed to (which includes S/H). Well, Obviously, It's not until we receive the merchandise and the invoice that we call to complain. Why? It's Not what was ordered or discussed in the Original Phone Call. So the Original Representative's name, when I asked, was Gale. She even gave me her last name. When I called to ask where to ship the product back (within the SAME MONTH), Martha (another rep) tells me don't bother as she's sorry for the misinformation and she will confirm (with a Reference # ) that there will be no more charges and the account will be cancelled. I took down the notes (ref#, name, date, time,etc..). Well, I was charged two more times. When I called again, Jennifer (Supposedly the Supervisor), indicated that she doesn't see the Original Order nor Who Took the Order (despite the fact that I gave her first & last name, ref# for both calls, etc.) because they don't run on Real Time???? WHAT?...And when asked if the call was recorded...she said only for "Quality & Training Purposes"...Is It EVER Recorded?? None of my calls were and Jennifer said she doesn't know of a Gale (last name also given) working for her.?. It's good to take notes, because they speak to those that call to complain as if they just want to be difficult. They don't expect you to give them details and the representative didn't think I had any information written down. Instead, I'm told, "didn't you read the invoice?"..NO *** Sherlock...That's OBVIOUSLY Why I'm calling... Idiots. That's how they make their money. They will only tell you that there's nothing they can do because they can see the notes that I called and the account was cancelled, but don't want to confirm what was ordered because Jennifer (Supervisor?) says she can't see that the order was even placed???? The reps read a script and can't divert from that....Don't waste any more time, just write a complaint letter to the Better Business Bureau.

I COMPLETELY AGREE THAT MEANINGFUL BEAUTY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST EVER. .. I

I learned so much from protecting myself just by my experience to this *** customer service.

I am still dealing with them up to now.

This is just tiring me beyond belief that sometimes you'll just give up because it's stressing you soooo much....

I HATE MEANINGFUL BEAUTY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Guest

After using this for three days my face turned red and eyes were irritated. I packed it all up and sent it backwith a a tracker on it.

They got it on Aug 15,2011. I also called mt credit card company and explained to them what they planned on taking out every month. They were very helpful and are watching my account. I just called Meaningful beauty and she didn't seem to know anything!

Said 5-6 weeks would be a refund even though they have the product and their free gifts back. Lessons learned about misleading the public and agree with statements here. Waiting for my statement to see and my credit card company said they would notify me.

We shall see. So glad I copied everything.

Guest

Do not trust customer service to help you. All they could say is that you have to shipped back the product paying the shipping and handling and still get billed for the product AND will get the refund back in 4-6 weeks so while you are trying to stop the payments from happening it won't because they have to receive the product first STILL billing you!!! I am letting you all know that your credit cards will have be cancelled in order for the payments to be stopped because they WILL continuously bill your credit card.

Guest

I got my package yesterday after I had been here. I ordered the specialon Tv also and added two small extras bringing it up to like $59.00.

However the invoice said like $149 with payments the next two months. I was shocked and I wa under the impression the deal was $59.00 total and shipping.

However I called and there was a wonderful girl on line who helped me with this and said she was sorry the salesperson was leaving that information off as she was also on a script.

She made amends for me and assured me they are working on any problems like this. So I was very happy as I am on a fixed income and this would have killed me.

I am on my second day of using the creams and love them so far and knowing I can change the order and cut down on the price. So far they were very helpful about this whole thing which relieved my mind so far.

Guest

Well I sure hope most of you are wrong because I ordered off the Tv and looking forward to trying the product but now worried about the whole thing and charges I am not prepared for! :? Time will tell I guess and I will be back to let you know.

Guest

Same thing happened to me except the person was reading a script and all she was saying was from a script. What can you do about something like that?

90 days later, I get a statement asking saying I owe 93 dollars. All I got was 1 product and I payed 56 dollars with shipping that's what I signed up for. 93 dollars, I am not paying for a product I didnt sign up for. What's automatic shipping by the way?

The customer representative named Jonathon said it was to get to pay for your shipping even though I payed my shipping with the first purchase of 56 dollars with tax and shipping. Its kind of crazy since I had to buy this product for my mom. In the end, the guy offered me 20% discount but still wanted my 93 dollars or collection agency. I dont think you guys have a corporate customer service escalation team, that's probably a lie also.

Someone probably needs to bring in a law suit. False advertising and this practice is a fraud.

Guest

Hi there,

Sounds like there's been a misunderstanding. Our corporate customer service escalation team would be happy to help you resolve this if you would be so kind as to contact them directly at customerservice@***y-renker.com. Meaningful Beauty

Paraben is toxic, it has been taken out of sunscreens and other products, Cindy Crawfords, Skin Softening Cleanser has five different parabens in the ingredient. Very disappointed! I will no longer use it, The other ingredient that bothers me, I found hydrogenated vegetable oil. They use this because vegetable oil forms a barrier that holds moisture, however adding hydrogen in the conversion is too close to margarine for my taste. I thought this stuff was all natural and healthy? What infomercial was I watching? What to do with the rest of my Meaningful Beauty products is a mystery. Fact is ...it's just not that meaningful. .

LOLOL! :grin

How ridiculous!

Do we actually know who most people we shop from endorse as President?! Who cares!? Do you go in every store and every shop and ask if they support Obama or Romney?! I seriously doubt it.

If the product is good, use it. If not, then write your negative opinion ABOUT THE PRODUCT!

Guest

To What Nonsense: Did you have wrinkles that dimished after using this product? I am of the same age and want to know if this product really works.

It seems like people are not giving it much of a chance to work before canceling. I realized at the time of the order that my card would be charged monthly.

Guest

:grin ROFL I will not be ordering the kit I was interested in based on the reviews of customers who apparently have had major problems with shipping, payments, and customner service. Appreciate those reviews.

Thank you. And I am glad that there are no political candidates listed on the labels.

Guest

T product is good I use it faithfully I am 56 and have been using her product for 2 yrs and I have very few wrinkles. My complextion is smooth and has absolutly no Romney in my product ingredience.

You that have turned a product into a Presitential debate are idiots!

Enough said!! Just VOTE and shutup!

Guest

Vote for Romney! Vote for Romney!

Vote for Romney! We don't need another four years of this bull! Vote for Romney! At this point anyone is better than what we have now!

I would rather vote for the *** on the street than place a vote for Obama. The *** on the street probably knows more than this guy!

Goodbye Obama! It wasn't nice knowing you!

Guest

I can think of no better reason not to order something. Besides the fact that you get stuck getting this goop every month and can't cancel it, even though you didn't order it.

Makes sense that Cindy supports the transparent chameleon Romney who changes his beliefs as the wind blows. Maybe he uses the goop. It's affected his brain perhaps.

That would explain everything. Maybe Bush used it too.

Guest

Can't believe this customer stopped ordering because Crawford supposedly supports Romney. What a joke!

Crawford's name is on this stuff but Gunthy Renker is the actual seller and company that profits from purchases. Crawford may use it and probably gets a promotional fee, but don't be fooled... Gunthy Renker is the major profiteer with this product and any other product they sell, i.e. Wen haircare etc..

I'd suggest that if this person liked the product, don't worry about Crawford and worry about Gunthy Renker... they have deeper pockets.

The bottom line seems to be..no one likes to be a scammed,be it by a product co. or by a politition!

Meaningful Beauty Horrible Customer Service Shame On You Cindy Crawford

I ordered Meaningful Beauty & received last week. Read bill & was over $165. My order total was SUPPOSED to be just over $54 (39.95 + xtra 2 products 6.70 + tax & ship). Called Cust Serv & talked to a guy for 20 mins and he just kept stalling & making excuses, asked for supervisor, woman came on line, told her I was pissed & she proceeded to tell me 5 times to make sure I keep call professional, did not even try to help me, then found out she was not a supervisor, then was transferred to ACTUAL supervisor. She finally said I received too much product but would refund about $99. All of these people were rude & acted like I had no reason to be upset. It is sad as the very 1st day I wore product I got a complement on my skin, then went to a Dr appt & nurse thought I was 36 & I'm 59. So far after a week I really like product, but after reading these complaints & having the horrible CS I did, dont know if will re-order.Will see if my credit really comes thru. Cindy Crawford should be taking more responsibility for CS for product attached to her name.No one should have to go thru that, she will lose business because of it.

Guthy-Renker is one of the world's leading direct response marketers bringing skin care, entertainment and fitness products that provide results direct to the consumer.) Meaningful Beauty is indeed Cindy Crawford's skin care line which Guthy Renker markets in partnership with her.

She takes comments and complaints as seriously as we do and is just as interested in making sure customers get issues resolved.

(And, of course she's not listed - she's an iconic supermodel. This would be absurd.)

Question for all you complainers?

Do you really think Cindy Crawford works at this company? Hello, no she doesnt..

This is the same company that sells you the PX90 dvds and Turbo Jams and Smoothy Makers... Come on now, be smarter than your comments, you just look silly...

Hey I know, call Cindy at home and tell her she is loosing customers, oh thats right, she isnt listed.. Smart girl, selling the use of her name to make another few millions off us and then laying on the beach and collectingher royalties for the next 10 years...

Tiny Tiny bottles.. They said I was getting a 30 day supply. NO WAY will this last me 30 days, two weeks tops. Im going to start using the product tonight, i hope my skin likes it and the product is as good as tey sell it on tv. I will definitely be back on this site with an update in a few days. I usally dont buy things i see on tv no matter who the spokes person is, lets hope mrs cindy didnt put her name on garbage and risk her reputation for a buck. Time will tell

You will get bigger bottles with your next shipment. This was just a sample shipment.

I felt the same way like i was ripped off but once i got on auto shipping and used the products and adjusted the shipments to what i needed (you can order anywhere from three items and up) i was satisfied. Its a good product if you give it a chance.

I ordered this product and was just as disappointed. BUT.

They do ship larger bottles once you accept the product. The original package is tiny but once your on auto shipping the bottles are larger and do last. You can adjust your order from 3 products and up.

I also found the creams to be quite effective. Hope this helps.

I bought that years ago, be careful because they put you on auto ship, and you will find that it does not work as good as it states. It will take 30 days to cancel.

I send mine back and it took 3 months to get a refund. Good luck I hope it works for you, for me it did not.
