MDL Cleaning Services - DO NOT USE

I booked an appointment 3 weeks in advance for January 5th. When the day came, she never showed.

No phone call, no email. I tried calling and emailing but she has literally left it so that there is no way to contact her. Her phone goes straight to voice mail and says to not leave messages. But she also doesn't respond to her emails except for an auto response.

The auto response said that because of the holidays, she would not be working until January 16th. I still have not heard from her; no apology or anything. Thankfully, TeamBuy was awesome and refunded my money.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Such a scam.

MDL Cleaning- Don't use.

MDL didn't show up after I waited months for my booking, even though I confirmed the appointment the day before. When I emailed asking for an explanation they didn't get back to me.

The tip off should have been when I called and heard a rude message about not accepting voice mail messages.

Like many people, I booked the appointment to have my house clean for some out-of-town guests and was terribly inconvenienced when I had to clean the place myself in a huge rush before my guests arrival.

There's really no point on wasting money on a company as unprofessional as this lot.

M.D.L. CLEANING SERVICE - HORRIBLE COMPANY

M.D.L. CLEANING SERVICE IN VAUGHAN ONTARIO posted a very misleading ad in deal find.

Their ad misleading customers into believing they would be receiving 3 hours of cleaning service by 2 maids. when i called to book an appointment, they said that it was actually 1.5 hours of service.... a very misleading ad which many customers did not understand.... i agreed to try them out to see what they could do in an hour and a half....

and booked an appointment only to have them cancel on me like 12 hours before the scheduled cleaning. The woman on the phone was very rude and inconsiderate considering the fact that i was hosting a dinner party the day of the scheduled cleaning which i booked 4 days in advance. a horrible company that i will never deal with again. customer service is very important and right off the bat this company started on the wrong foot.

M.D.L.

cleaning service is unprofessional, misleading, dishonest and rude! do not do business with this company!

:(

I have never experienced such rude unprofessional conduct from a company in my life. I wouldn't let these people in my home for any reason.

Missed an appointment i had booked 3 months before, no apology. Cancelled the next appointment. Never returned calls, sent me rude emails calling me a liar basically.

I am shocked how brutal these people are. How are they still in business?

Guest

Bought 5 Vouchers they have already cancelled 3 times...when they finally came they did such a crapy job I ended up having to clean an hour after them to get it the way I like it. Don't use them, they come late and say they are a pet friendly company which is funny because my dog ended up at work with me because they were afraid!!!!! what the ***!!!!

Guest

I bought 3 vouchers and have had nothing but rude comments, cancelled appointments and endless excusses and lies with regards to company policy. Is this a real company....that is what I would like to know. Also did disappointed get his money back or a credit????

Likewise - do NOT go with this company. I wish there had been reviews for me to read before I bought my voucher.

After ridiculous customer service and being told that I could not book an appointment 'til September (it is now July) without paying a premium fee, I called the deal company I bought from, complained, and got a refund.

These women clearly need to get a clue, and also realize the power of the internet to destroy a business.

Treat customers badly, they'll write you up and next thing you know no one's calling anymore. Hopefully they'll do better in their next line of work (since I doubt this one will be lasting too long).

Bought five certificates from LivingDeal. MDL wouldn't reply to emails.

Now LivingDeal not responding regarding refund of almost $200 taken from senior citizen living on pension income. I need this money back to employ honest cleaning service.

Guest

I had the same experience as many, I took the half day off to let the cleaners in. As I was approaching my house, 15 min before the appt.

I got a call, they had to reschedule. I had called in the morning even to confirm the appt. They didn't mention anything was wrong. After an argument, I simply told her that this was unacceptable and that she would have to get someone there.

She said shed call back. I waited over an hour at my place and (being a single mom) I couldn't afford to sit around and wait any longer, so I went to the laundromat. I got a call from a cleaner saying she was at my place. I said well I am not so you'd best keep your next appt.

Shortly after i received a phone call from an irate woman saying i defaulted on my appt and that she was going to charge me for a missed appt.

After a huge public shouting match, I emailed teambuy and the coupons refunded. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE, I know others that actually had them in their homes and they don't even do a good job!

Guest

DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company!! I purchsed 3 cleaning vouchers for their services through Teambuy, and they did not show up 2 weeks ago for my 1st appointment and then again today for my 2nd one!

You cannot leave a voicemail, only an email which I did both times!

I have contacted Teambuy to get a refund for this purchase and let them know how unhappy I am with this company. If anyone else has had problems with this company, PLEASE let them know!!!! :(

Guest

Sounds like I am not alone! I bought 2 Team Buys in March.I waited a few months as I knew they would be busy to contact them.

After weeks of back and forth, we finally had an appointment-which they did not show up to. They even send an e-mail confirmation to remind ME of the appointment. I tried calling them and the phone rang and went dead. Total scam.

Team Buy was great though and said they would refund my money right away. I thought they were extremely helpful and now I know why!

Guest

I bought two of the vouchers via Living Deal and when I tried to redeem them, knowing I'd need to schedule somewhat far in advance, I told them I was hoping to become a regular customer, etc.

"We are only booking voucher where they fit in and therefore if you have one you need to pick dates January on,,we can not inconvience our regular every day clients if you need an appointment before January your looking at paying the regular price which is on your voucher remember that we always send out two or three ladies ,so if this if an emergency and you cant wait let us know, you could pay cash for your urgent clean and book your voucher now for Jan on and be locked in

MDL"

Nothing like being treated like a second class citizen because I deigned to buy a coupon for services. I am a disabled woman on a fixed income, and that's why I bought this. To be told i'm not as important as their regular customers, that they don't have time for me, but then to be told they COULD have time for me earlier if I paid them cash as their regular rate doesn't make sense. You either have the money OR YOU DON'T.

Since then, I've made three attempts at scheduling the appointments and been ignorned.

I'm reporting them to the better business beaureau, as this seems like fraud to me.

Guest

Oops. That was supposed to say, you either have the staffing availability or your don't!

Guest

You guys Really give them a break they are a small biz of two ladies and what they shouldnt of done is get these deal of the days involved, cause they only bought the *** they sold to them over the phone ,little did they know that there was gonna be such a high volume of vouchure sold, they readlly didnt know what they were getting into and well they are learning a lesson I guess everyone makes mistakes, unfornunatly we got stuck in this hugh mess, again I dont blame them in the end those deals of they days dont care about the merchant just profit even if the little guy suffers

at least we know MDL did do the deal with good intentions but it hit them in the butt spoke to one on the phone they say they really regret ever getting involved with DealFind which placed a mis-leading ad 3hr cleaning value 150 she said they got legal advice as to why deal find didnt put the correct vaulue which is 75-90 dollars cause at the most the charge 30 dollars an hr and she said should of said 75 dollar vaule after all who in there right mind would pay 150 for 3hrs...I beleive them as for the ad cause they charge the adverage of 25 hr so makes sense 75 3 hrs ..alls well they did say they dont want to ever see another deal of the day they said once its all over they perfer to create a flyer and go door to door giving the same deal but they will control how many get the 39.00 for 3hr value 75 I got a refund but that was because i got one for a cetain day and they couldnt do that day so the coupon was no good to me but since Im moving to Toronto soon into a bigger place I do hope when they fix this all up they I get that deal cause I know someone that has them for three years and they say they are very good and do things that other cleaning companys dont do ,so the roumurs are its hard to get a hold of them but they are worth the wait so who knows.but I do hope they stay away from the daily deals and do as they said they would cause they are just a small family biz

Below is a copy of an email sent to MDL once I realized that I had more than one ring missing - I can't say for certain that one of them took the missing items, but they are the only service people who have been in my home.

I have also included the two responses received within the past two days from them - but they never replied to earlier emails asking for service, as others have mentioned. Based on other comments here it appears that they agreed to far more purchases than they could ever reasonably take care of. However, this is no excuse for treating people this rudely.

Why dont you pay attention as to where you put your things instead of blaming me ,number one I dont need anything from you thanks, your a joke you just realize your missing stuff and you say was me please.Im sure you live all alone and have no visitors Please dont waist my time

thats plain ignorant

From all your emails you clearly stat you have an adult daughter which Im sure has friends and you do have company over as you have also stated why dont you ask them .how dare you...I offer deals to get clients not to go into there homes and take there *** would that make sense really you check your vac system ect ect but dont you go around threatening me I was one that was in your home I dont tell people that and I know for a fact we didnt take nor need to and even if a such items get vac up by mistake I have actually in fact vac up a ring and kept it and return to owner once she emailed me about it ,she was not as rude as you,and in any case if I ever find something and someone emails about a missing item I keep it ,but at this time we dont have anything from your home and man what away to approach a situation .

Guest

I was the original creator of this post about a year ago, and i get emailed when people respond or post to this message. I must say the most recent response from MDL about the lost ring is so disrespectful and shows the true colours of a company that should really be cleaning gas station washrooms as opposed to houses with the way they talk to people.....

They talked rudely to me when i tried calling them back about the 12 hour notice of a cancelled appointment, and i see they still don't know how to treat customers! this company should not be in business and anyone that actually gives them money are just feeding the fire to a horrible dishonest, disrespectful company!

Guest

:( :( :( :(

Just got a refund... it is terrible how they dont care and didnt show up 5times now... discosting

Guest

I have had 5 appointments with MDL. Of the 5 they bothered to show up for only 1 even though I would confirm the day before, and a few days before, etc. Even if they are overwhelmed; they are liars. If they can't make an appointment - then don't book it in the first place!

Their emails are rude and it's ridiculous that you aren't 'allowed' to leave a message.

What a horrible, horrible company.

Guest

I had the same issue. I am sitting here during my second reschedule (taking a work from home day) and no one has showed up.

The latest excuse is that apparently the guy has pnemonia...wow. I think we should report this company and get it closed.

This is complete FRAUD. Does anyone know how to get such fradulent companies closed down?

Guest

I've never had anyone else in my home to clean, but I bought vouchers from these guys and after reading all these reviews, I think the next call I should make should be to Teambuy for a refund. I did look up the fine print and it was 3 hours of cleaning or 2 maids 1.5 hours.Anyway I don't want to go anywhere near this company.

MDL Cleaning Services-stay away from them

This company is super unprofessional. I booked them twice since they never came the first time.

After the second time of them not showing up at my house, I decided to get a refund from Dealticker.com

I called MDL asking them why they didn't come but I would either get an excuse or no answer at all. The customer service is ridiculous. The girls answering the phone were very rude to me and wouldn't answer any of my questions. They would just give me excuses or tell me they'll call me once they know what happened; they never did call me with a valid reason why the cleaning ladies never showed up TWICE at my house.

This company is very unreliable, unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone. Like someone said before, it looks as though there are a couple of girls who decided to open up a cleaning service and they have no experience at all. I think they sold so many vouchers via dealticker and wagjag that they cannot keep up. Do not waste your money.

If you did purchase it already, I suggest emailing dealticker asking for your money back. Hopefully, this will help someone.

Here is the response I got from MDL after buying a wagjag and trying to book services 3 weeks in advance:

"MY MOTHER SANDY FRACTURED HER HEEL AND IS TAKING SOME TIME OFF TO HEAL SHE WAS TRYING TO DO IT EVEN WITH

HER FRACTURE,BUT ITS CAME TO A POINT SHE NEEDS PAIN KILLERS HALF WAY THREW THE DAY BUT THAT'S JUST HER IF

SHE COULD SHE WOULD GO SHE ALWAYS PUT WORK BEFORE HER HEALTH ,WHICH PUT HER IN HOSPITAL THIS MORNING IT

GOT WORST TO POINT OF HER SQEELING IN PAIN

I BUT I PUT A STOP TO THAT I TOOK HER TO EMERGE THIS MORNING,AND HOPEFULLY WILL BE GOOD BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER,LET ME SEE WHERE I CAN PUT YOU,ONCE SHES BACK ON THE ROAD WE ARE GONNA GET AMBUSHED I CAN ALREADY SEE IT HAPPENING.

HAVE A GREAT EVENING

WE ARE VERY SORRY

Guest

I got the same email as the above one and I felt bad for them. But it is not right for a cleaning company to have just one driver.

And they should at least temporarily get replacement. There is no telephone response and the email response is usually very rude. You would get the impression that they were doing you a huge favor for free!

Sometimes deals are worse than no deals. I was very happy with Merry and Molly and got sucked into this...

Guest

I too found MDL to have horrible customer service skills. They were the most unprofessional cleaning I have ever used.

MDL Cleaning Services - Horrible Customer Service

I had bought this on one of the group deals. After multiple calls and their promises to call back even though they didn't, I finally got an appointment.

Nobody showed up and when I tried calling no one answered the phone. Once I finally was able to get a hold of someone to get an explanation, I received no apology and was told they had simply forgot to put my appointment in their system. Then I was told I would get a call back taht afternoon, still nothing. So I finally gave up and called the website I bought the deal from and asked for a refund (which they're giving).

After reading the reviews, I'm glad I didn't go ahead and get this rescheduled.

If the cleaning is as good as their customer service, they'll probably just leave bigger mess than they came in to. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY!

MDL Cleaning

I purchased a deal online for 2 cleaning ladies to clean for 2 hours (total 4 hrs of cleaning) I arranged the appointment and unfortunately the day was hit with a snow storm. I was pressured to have the ladies arrive 3 hrs early so they could go home and they did a poor job.

I only got 1 1/2 hrs of cleaning, they did not really bring any cleaning tools (broom, mop, vacuum etc) so they had to use mine - and complained about the quality of them. The vacuum job was shabby and the mop job was terrible.

To be completely honset my home looked really no different before they arrived and after they left with the exception of a few vacuum marks. I am happy I only paid $39 (plus a tip)had I paid full price I would have been extremely disappointed, and I am not a clean freak, so if you are, I suggest you save your money.
