Resolved: Did Not Finish The Remodel
- - Warning: Brett Cook of Modern Design and Construction dishonest and unpaid to workers; house addition halted after foundation; $160k paid; two liens.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with settlement agreement. The builder agreed to finish the work. I left bad reviews on the company’s social media and filed a complaint with the better business bureau.
BEWARE!!! DO NOT WORK WITH Brett Cook from Modern Design and Construction.
He is dishonest, takes advantage of minorities and does not pay his workers. My hispanic friend hired him to do an addition on her house. She paid him $160K and after doing the foundation and some framing he has abandoned the project.
What's more, his workers keep coming to her door asking for money because Brett never paid them. Subsequently she now has 2 liens on her house.
