Make sure every detail they promise is in writing

I was price shopping for new snow tires and rims for my Nissan rogue. the parts manager quoted me $1,250.00 "ALL IN" plus one season free storage ( $60.00" value The tires recommended were B/F Goodrich. After shopping around it was comparable with the Nissan dealer which is an hour drive from my town. I went in a few days later to look at the tires and talk to the parts manager again and he assured me the price was all in, no surprises. I booked an appointment and waited two weeks for my turn. The appointment was supposed to be approximately a half hour. Got there and drove into the service dept. After approximately an hour wait he came out and said he made a mistake and forgot to include the sales tax (how convenient) I said no just give me back my car and I would go to Nissan as they gave me a written quote which clearly included the tax. He said give me a few minutes to see what he could do. Then he came back and said he got everything fixed. So I said OK go ahead . Dumb me I did not ask what fix would cost. Then a few minutes later the service rep cam out and said I would have to buy new wheel nuts as mine would not fit the new wheels. Again I said just give me back my car as I was feeling very uncomfortable with this. The parts manager then came out and said the caped wheel nuts were too short and he offered the new ones at his cost. So as we were approaching two hours I said OK just get finished as I wanted to get home. When they finished my car they did not bring it back in (Like they did with all the other customers) but left it parked outside in a back row. Then they presented me with my Bill which was a little over $1,380xx dollars. I paid it and walked in the rain to my car and went home. The wheels and tires were smeared with a white substance (which I assume was part if the installation procedure) and they looked terrible. The next day I had to take a scrub brush to clean them off. Needless to say the whole experience took over two hours waiting not including my time cleaning the tires and wheels and I and I am a very unhappy senior citizen. I called the parts manager a few days later to express my dissatisfaction. He did apologize and offered to have my car washed after the fact and said they left the car in the back row as they did not to take up anymore of my time...He also said that I should be happy because he had to eat part of the cost for the wheel nuts as they had to buy them from CTC. Overall a really bad experience and I will not recommend them as I honestly felt they ripped me off and will share my distasteful experience with others
