I am having issues with Leland Judd in Mcfarland WI, who operates Dentistry by Design in the same location. In general I found them to be poorly organized and communicated very poorly.

They tried to push back my husbands appointment due to poor time management, when we came in as scheduled for the cleaning they changed it to "just a check up". Then added an additional appointment for a cleaning and fillings. At this appointment they then said that is was just a cleaning and that fillings would need to be done a separate day, and added another appointment. I was confused that appointments just kept being added, and that's not what I was told.

They were very rude and said that cleanings and fillings were never done on the same day. Very poor communication. After the third appointment I was sent a $60 bill for additional charges that were never discussed before or during or after the procedure, and the bill was sent in my name even though I had not received any dental services at this time, only my husband. Very poor organization.

I was told that my original total I paid was just an estimate and the additional charge was for them needing to do more work than expected. It would be nice to know they could just add any charges they want without any communication BEFORE I had any work done. I was upset about the surprise bill and wanted to discuss it, the receptionist told me I just had to pay it and refused to let me speak to anyone else. I asked for the owner to call me sometime within the following week, I never heard anything from them.

I finally just paid the bill to not ruin my credit, but still want to dispute it. I received a letter in the mail saying that they would no longer serve our family as our dentist, which is fine with me I have no intention of giving them another cent. I still would like to dispute the charges, I never agreed to any additional charges, I was never even told it was possible that additional charges may be incurred, and the bill was sent to the wrong patient, in the wrong patient's name. The owner finally did call to say my bill had already been sent to collections, which is strange and passive aggressive at best, especially considering it had already been paid.

I called the collection agency and they had no records of my account, I called the dentist again and the receptionist said that she had cancelled it being sent to collections because it was paid. This is a massive waste of time, and it seems no one in this building has any idea how to communicate.

This is so unprofessional and pathetic, I want my 60 dollars back. After Doing a little investigating this dentist got caught operating without a license while the state was investigating a malpractice suit, wow.
