Your Cinnamon Turned Into Sludge When Put In Boiling Water. It's Not Water Soluble.

AI Highlights
  • - Cinnamon turned into a slimy, mucus-like sludge when added to boiling water.
  • - I suspect supplier issues and quality testing concerns.

I have used cinnamon for a long time. not from You, but in general.

I love it. However, when I bought your cinnamon recently, last month, and finally used it last night, it turned into a horrid mucus-like sludge when added to boiling water.

It was not water-soluble. The majority of it floated on the water. It was very slimy, and disgusting.

The powder tasted and smelled somewhat like cinnamon, but I don't believe it was real cinnamon.

I am not directly upset with your corporation, but with your supplier. I believe You yourself were scammed. You unknowingly bought fake cinnamon, and distributed it without thoroughly testing it for quality.

I want to believe that, but perhaps you are the one trying to perpetrate a scam. I do not know, but for all the times I've made cinnamon tea, or mixtures of boiling water and cinnamon for other preparations, I do not recall it congealing into a horrid wad of mucus-like sludge.

The cinnamon always blends well with water.

Cinnamon is water-soluble. Whatever I bought from You is something else.

I hope you resolve this issue, but this is the last time I am buying cinnamon from you. I also feel I should avoid buying most things from You, since I now worry about your quality testing.

This was a disturbing experience for me, because I actually sipped some of the floating material, and it was vile.

Preferred solution: I would like you to increase your quality, and inspect your goods before distributing them to us.

User's recommendation: Stay away from McCormick "cinnamon".

I called McCormick with the complaint. They were dismissive and told me to go pound salt.

Original review Oct 30, 2023

On 10/28/23 opened vacuum sealed container with 4/20/23 Best Buy date. Based on 55 year history of using McCormick spices, product should have still been flavorful.

Tasted like cheap cardboard.

Called their 800 number and they were dismissive and rude. Will never again buy McCormick branded spices!

User's recommendation: Consider other spice brands other than McCormick

Agreed. They are not to be trusted.

I bought some of their "cinnamon" too, and it wasn't water-soluble. It's fake cinnamon, most likely. Someone else is pointing out they source their garlic from china, and if you check what they grow their garlic with, and why it should be avoided, you would be disgusted. Suffice it to say, your assertion McCormick products should be avoided is correct.

I am thankful for your comments and reviews as well. Thank You very much

McCormick unfair to employees

AI Highlights
  • - Management is poor; workers are overworked and underappreciated, with a high performance work systems initiative.
  • - Avoid this company.

I would like to make this available to anyone in the South Bend, IN area looking for employment. Do not take a job at this *** The management is horrible, the workers are overworked and under appreciated.

Plenty of ''fluff'' jobs are created but none are slotted for actual work.

A strategic iniative called high performance work systems is now being implemented. I like to call this a fancy name for doing more work i.e.

multi tasking and doing the job of 2 people.

Do yourself a favor and run as fast and as far away as you can if offered a job with this company. It is a *** that you do not want to be a part of.

I have had several close friends as low and mid level workers that have had good to great experiences in south bend. One even accepted a promotion to the headquarters in Maryland. Sounds like sour grapes...
