- Bought a new Shallow Sport trailer; 5 years later torsion axles replaced.
- 3 years later, axle rust and flaking; aluminum is fine.
Purchased trailer with new Shallow Sport..5 years later and used in water 4 times I had to replace torsion axles...now 3 years after that I have serious axle rust and flaking...aluminum is fine but axles are junk...I think new axles must be their money maker...
User's recommendation: Under coat axles and torsion springs...
Bad service and costly repairs
- Trailer cracked again after repairs; McClain Trailers said they didn't do them; the new trailer boards failed due to small nuts; repair cost $646.
I bought a new boat and the trailer started cracking so I took it to McClain Trailers for repairs and when I got it back it cracked in the same place. I took it back and the salesperson told me that they didn't do the repairs, after I showed him the receipt he told me that person no longer works there so I purchased a new trailer from y'all and the new trailer boards started coming apart bc the nuts where too small and its costing me another $646 to repairfix
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Fix it right the first time

- New trailer ujoint nuts pulled through, loosening the board.
Bought a new boat and trailer and the trailer started to crack so I took it to McClain for repairs. McClain charged me almost $600 to repair.
The trailer separated again in the same area.
Took it back and the salesperson told me that y'all would never have wielded that so I showed him the receipt and he told me that guy no longer works here. OK, so I bought another new boat trailer from y'all and the new trailer u joint nuts pulled through causing the board to loosen and now all the nuts and washers needs to be changed bc they should have been larger in the beginning!
User's recommendation: Make sure it's done right the first time

- No reply by email or phone, and I wonder if they care about customers.
