Wilson Senior Center set up a trip with Mayflower to go on the Christmas Market Cruise Group Tour on the Danube River leaving Dec. 3, 2021.
The communication with the Senior Center Representative was messy but Mayflower cancelled the trip due to Covid. There were 4 of us who paid on the trip but we never received any information and the lady at the Senior Center quit. We called and talked to Mayflower and they gave us Reservation numbers finally but they said we could not get our money back. Two people paid $829 and two paid $429.
Communication was terrible with Mayflower as well, I called several times without even being able to get these reservation numbers until last month when a representative finally gave me our reservation numbers. Mind you this was Nov. of 2022. We had not heard a word about our trip or money that had been invested other than it was cancelled due to covid.
I finally talked with Mayflower representative and she said there would be no refunds for any of us. She said she could put our money toward another trip through Mayflower but who would want to give them more money when you can't trust them with the amount you already gave them and for there to be such a lack of communication? We are four older ladies, all on social security and this is how this company treats Senior Citizens. Representative told us to contact the insurance company but she doubted they would give us our money back either.
If the insurance company was the ones truly holding our money why would Mayflower give us the option to put our funds toward another trip? This company just wants to pass the buck. Representative also said she would get back to me but I had to call her instead.
Again, lack of communication and pure disrespect! Other than the info above we never received any kind of documentation, it has all be a pathetic ordeal and I pity the people who try to deal with them.
