Not honest

Matrix is very hard to communicate with once you pay them. They dont send policy information directly to you. They are extremely difficult to cancel. Quick to take your money but wont help you out with policy information or cancellation.

User's recommendation: Look somewhere els.

Unwanted call

A woman called yesterday to sell me an extended warranty. I explained that I already had a 4 year extended warranty on my car which I purchased from my dealer. During the call, I checked - I have one year left on my REAL warranty. So I decided to PLAY with my salesperson. I must have sounded like a great catch because by the time I ended the call I was on with the third lady THE CLOSER. I had NO intention of purchasing their warranty, and during the conversations I was reading up on all the bad reviews and even reading them outload to my salespeople asking them to explain so that I could purchase the warranty. I feel good that for 20 minutes (I was bored) I kept them from scamming others. Beware - they do not appear to be legit. others. others. comments. nono intention

User's recommendation: Do not use them.....call your car's dealer for the real thing.

Scam, big time

Update by user Apr 06, 2021

I got a awakening

Original review posted by user Apr 05, 2021
I get a call from a rep, she is very good at her craft, "scammer" Gives me her full name and company ID'# and convinced me that I qualify for a new car warranty from bumper to bumper minus things that come under normal wear and tear. My vehicle is a 2009 M/Benz with 103,000 miles on the engine, and I must sign on this phone call. I'm assured that within 3-5 days I would get a hard copy in the mail or email within minutes, with a 30-day grace period for a total refund, After the hang-up I called the Dealership they never heard of them and I couldn't reconnect with them, beware.

User's recommendation: Don't sign on 1st call, do your research.

Dishonesty/SCAM

I was contacted via telephone by a person claiming to be a representative and wanting me to sign up for extended vehicle warranty services. I assumed the phone call was legitimate because my vehicle warranty was due to expire the caller also gave me the last 5 digits of my VIN number on my vehicle. I paid an up front fee of 195.00 dollars (of which is not on my bank statement), however I have not received any paperwork showing my coverage. I called the 2 numbers I was given the day I enrolled and both persons I spoke to said they cannot find me in the system. Needless to say I was scammed.

User's recommendation: Obtain a call back number and persons name before providing any information.

I really hope this Matrix is'nt a scam.

I have been trying to submit a claim for the past two months now, to be reimbursed for services on my vehicle. I would appreciate if this department assist me in my needs.

I did a quick search for this company and came up with a BBS article which says this company is an outright scam. Paying money to some unknown to you company for an auto warranty is not wise.

If you really thing you need an auto warranty, the only place to ensure you get a good one is thru your car's manufacturer.

Most dealerships can do this for you. Do the search yourself for this company to see what BBS and others say about it.

Demeaning or not?

I have recently joined the legion ranks of ‘senior citizens’ in our country. Although employed and active my husband and I are planning on retiring in the next year or so. I was reading an on-line article about senior discounts and one little-known discount was extended auto warranties. Mine recently expired so I entered my information and was contacted by Steven this afternoon. Steven explained the plan to me and although expensive it seemed worth the money to be able to keep my vehicle serviced by my favorite dealership with one low deductible per visit. I explained to Steven that since we are in the process of purchasing a second-home (for retirement) and that we discuss all major purchases since we are partners, that I would need to speak to my husband before purchasing. I put him on hold and made a quick call… between the two of us we decided that at this time, since we are about to close on our second home, it might not be the best time to enter another pricey endeavor. I explained this to Steven when I returned and at first he was sympathetic, but insistent as salespeople often are. Then he offered to have the finance manager speak with me to see if there was ‘something’ that could be worked out. Then he started the sentence, “I don’t see why if you two are partners and you OBVIOUSLY want this warranty that your husband. . .’ – I stopped him there and told him he was beginning to be offensive and he started again with the same sentence – I interrupted him again and told him he was offending me and he stated he didn’t see how so I explained it didn’t matter that he was and it was best to end the conversation. He continued talking about. . . so I ended the conversation by hanging up. I still don’t know if he realized how belittling he was or if he was truly stupid or just mean. And I HAVE NEVER used the word stupid in reference to a person.
