Mass Gas Fireplace Service is a service to avoid...
Two months ago I had scheduled maintenance/repair for a 13 year old gas heatilator fireplace that will not light. Mass Gas Fireplace, owned by a sole proprietor accepted the business, confident he could repair what wasn't working. Yes he arrived on time, and yes he cleaned the glass and diagnosed the issue and yes he took the $125 service call fee telling me he needed to order a part and would schedule a second visit to install--I'd be charged for installation and the part since I had already paid for diagnosis. After a couple of weeks had passed, I called him back and he had no clue who I was - needless to say he did not return at least three phone messages. Basically he charged me $125 to clean glass I could have cleaned myself and disappeared. If you need a gas fireplaced in Massachusetts, Mass Gas Fireplace should be the last vendor you contact--unprofessional and unreliable, you will pay twice to have the work performed which is just wrong.
