Do Not Hire! She is a FRAUD!

DO NOT HIRE!!!! I am posting this everywhere I can, so no one else will go through the devastation we did! She offers special offers to get money upfront and then completely slacks and is so difficult to get a hold of. Everything about her is unprofessional; she should not have a business! Unfortunately I hired her to photograph my wedding. The pictures are awful; the lighting is horrible in all photos. She also "lost" majority of my pictures. The day of our wedding she was to have a second shooter, which really was just an assistant. She is not assertive and slacked most of the day when she was supposed to be taking pictures. We had to give her direction and ask her to take photos. When it was time to deliver the pictures Mary lied and led me on for months. During this extremely tragic experience she would not return calls and made so many false claims. Once she finally admitted that we will never be able to see our pictures she claimed she would refund half of our money. We have only a few pictures of our reception. We do not have any of the important moments like: cake cutting, toasting, first dance, entrance, ect... It is so devastating that we will not have our pictures from our wedding, and the ones we do have are not quality, and there is nothing we can do about it. Our wedding was October 2010; the last contact I had with Mary was in May. She told me that she will be sending a check for half the amount and we will have it no latter than July 1st. Of course it did not come. Surprise..... Surprise!

Mary Kai Photography Failed to deliver

Never have I dealt with a more unprofessional "business". Mary Kai Photography was paid $670 up front to come to our business event, video tape speakers and take still photos. A signed contract guaranteed that we would have our materials within 4 weeks. We have never received anything and it has been 4 months. When trying to get our materials, which we intended to us within our company, I was told many different things from "they are in the mail" to "you will have them by this weekend". None of it was true. I suggested that she pay us back $670 and we would forget the whole thing but she stopped responding to emails and has not rectified the situation. I am appalled that anyone like this can run a legitimate business. It is still questionable but the fact remains I was duped. I do not recommend the use of the "professional skills" and if one does use them I would suggest payment after you see the materials. I also advised Mary Kai Photography that if something wasn't done I was going to post my comments on this site. That was over a month ago.

Mary Kai Photography

I recently hired a photographer from MARY KAI PHOTOGRAPHY, I was rather disapointed in the service that she provided. 1. the Photographer was late for the job. 2. I was not supplied with the things that were promised to me. 3. Mary has great photography equipment, however her photo's were decent at best, the shots that she had taken were not really what we hired her for. She brought no background and I felt rushed through the whole process. I would definetly not recommend this company to anyone. If you are looking for a good photographer I definetly would look elsewhere. Hire at your own risk...

Best photographer I have met in Seattle yet. I work mostly on the East coast with many professional photographers and I have yet to find someone that matches her quality and passion for real photography. She captures the true beauty in people and their emotions.

I have been professionally shooting photography for over 12 years and it is very few and far between that I have a customer that isn't satisfied. My customers are the most important part of my business and I value their opinions greatly.

I'm sorry that you were disappointed in your photo shoot. Had I received ANY communication that you were unhappy with your photos I would have been more than happy to discuss a solution or offer a refund. The photo shoot that I was hired for at a negotiated rate was outlined with my point of contact at your company. I came in a day prior to plan out a shooting location and at that time discussed with the Sales Manager as well as my point of contact that we should shoot outdoors and that I would not be bringing a backdrop.

I am available to amend this situation should you decide you have my contact information. Best Regards - Mary
