Dutch Oven Defective

My Martha Stewart 6qt dutch oven enamel has began to chip, peel and rust around the rim edges. It has a lifetime warranty. I took it back to Macy's where the grandkids bought it as a gift. Macy's says I have to go through the manufacturer since its a older Martha Stewart model. Pictures are attached. Thanks, Sonya Johnson
