Bad Attitude

When my mother comes to town, we always go to the Marmi Shoe store in Atlanta. She loves their shoes because they carry narrow widths.

Both of us have purchased shoes, purses and wallets there over the years.

This time, the African American salesgirl with long red hair was horrible to us.

She acted like we were really putting her out to try on more than one pair. My mother thanked her profusely for her time when nothing fit, but she turned her back to us and wouldn't look or speak to us.

We will never go back to this store again.

Worst experience ever

Marmi Shoes - Worst experience ever

I just experienced the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I spent 324 dollars on shoes there, and decided I didn't like them.

I purchased them at full price three days ago, in Atlanta. The sales person kept the boxes and wrapped them for me, as I disclosed I would be traveling and packing them. She told me to write a review on Yelp, and I did. The other reviews made me cringe.

They were all about Marmi's contentious and restrictive return policy. Concerns I had about quality and durability began to build. I purchased them 15 minutes before closing time on the last day I was in town. I attempted to return them three days later, in my home state and city.

Just as the other reviewers indicated, my attempt was refused. Apparently, unless you have the box, you can only exchange these shoes. I believe the boxes are worth more than the actual shoes, and that is probably why. I asked if they could send them back to Atlanta for me, and they manager called to talk to the sales person.

She came back with a ridiculous story about the sales person informing me that the shoes were final sales without the box during my sale. I would have easily tossed out some travel sized toiletries to make the boxes fit in my suitcase, if that were an issue, and insisted on leaving with the box. We had even discussed the possibility that they might not fit as well once I got home, as my feet were swollen from walking all day. I called my sales person myself as I was upset by this falsehood, and told her she told me nothing of the kind, and she relented on that point.

I told her I would be returning to Atlanta on Tuesday, and she told me to bring them back with me, requiring that I uber to Buckhead to go back to Lenox mall from Marietta, and she would see what they could work out. This suggests another run around, when I really just want a REFUND.

I bought full priced shoes, never wore them, and want to return them. This should not be a problem.

Unhappy with Marmi's in King of Prussia

I was given a beautiful Vanelli handbag for Christmas by my boss. I loved the bag but unfortunately it had no structure to it and was very heavy.

When I called the store and talked to the manager, I explained the situation and told her that my friend had thrown the receipt away, could I just exchange it for something that works for me. The Manger was very cold and didn't treat me very well but told me to come into the store and I could exchange the bag. I never used the bag and it was in pristine shape. When I went all the way to King of Prussia, on my lunch hour, the same manager, had terrible customer service, was very snobby to me and found whatever excuse she could to tell me she would not do anything for me.

Not even an exchange for a lesser priced item.

I think that store has terrible customer service and should not be trusted for any purchases! I will make sure I tell as many people as I can to never go to Marmi's in King of Prussia unless you want to pay a lot of money for something and be treated like dirt!
